In good faith but also kind of rhetorical question, why does AI disclosure make it harder to sell a game, Tim?
I don't think full 100% business disclosure is necessary, but if simply saying what's inside of a product makes it harder to sell then why is the solution to hide it?
It should follow Halo's trajectory and be called Toy Story Infinite where it introduces a threat that's apparently worse than even The Sid, but they never explain why it's a threat, and even release a book which doesn't explain it either.
Also Toy Story Evolved has sprinting
I love the first Hellblade so it's really sad to see studio with a huge potential get potentially closed down. Tho it's hard to deny nothing really good came out of that potential for a very long time now. Still, I was excited for their new projects ☹️
Ninja Theory staff were told on a call today the studio is being shut down by Xbox
Ninja Theory is hoping a potential buyer can save the studio

There are countless stories like that: malware and data stealers distributed on the Play Store. And you want me to believe that complicating side loading and ROMs is because they care so much about security?

@ArtemR The examples they showcased here are inexcusably bad but all the other ones (in YT videos and other places) don't look bad at all. Some of them even give photos the fake bokeh portrait mode look. I think the feature itself is fine and this specific marketing is just horrendous.
Sony Xperia 1 VIII is so anti-2026.
It still has:
✅ 3.5 mm audio jack
✅ microSD card slot
✅ Thick bezels
✅ Traditional two-stage camera button
✅ A SIM/microSD card slot that doesn't need a SIM ejector tool
✅ Front-facing stereo speakers
✅ No intention of copying iPhone
Even the below aside, isn't this a huge privacy issue? If you're browsing something in a private session or a signed out computer, you're now required to scan the captcha with a device signed into your Google account.
Google's reCAPTCHA now requires a QR code scan that only works with Google Play Services or a modern iPhone, meaning anyone without a certified device can't verify.
They tried this in 2023 (Web Environment Integrity) and pulled it after public outcry, so this time they launched it as a commercial product instead of a public proposal.
The old CAPTCHA methods are still accessible as a fallback for now, but how long Google keeps that option around is anyone's guess. 🤷♂️
This is the most worthwhile website you will visit this month.
I got every question wrong (WAY wrong) and instead of discouraging me ... it made me hopeful for the future. For the first time in years.

@geddski Do you think it's intentional? I always thought it's just that the app doesn't maintain its state when it gets killed in the background by system 🤔
