Nobody achieves anything great w/o INTENSITY!
People can’t comprehend the work I put in to reach the levels I did.
Just about every Sunday I was in the office reviewing for 10 YEARS. Most on here can’t do a DRC every day for a single month.
YOU NEED TO BE FUELED BY A WHY.
The beauty of Goggins is he serves as a wake-up call to our potential and a reminder of what we can achieve but don’t bc pushing ourselves w extreme intensity is uncomfortable.
I’ve grown soft the last few yrs w/o a WHY.
The good news is my new WHY is Project MO and it is fueling me.
Every day of ‘24, 7am I’ve been running a few miles and then swimming in the Pacific.
I HATE swimming. I HATE cold water.
There is not a single person in the water with me, let alone w/o a wetsuit.
But I do it to rebuild my “do hard things” muscle that atrophied. As discussed in this episode.
Timely discussion & Goggins brings it as always.
Remember:
1. Sit on your hands when you don't see edge. Don't force setups. Patience.
2. Step up when you do see edge. No fear. No hesitation. Follow your process. Expect nothing. Expectations create emotions.
3. Trade the market, not your P&L.
4. Always seek improvement.
Learning how price moves and where opportunities lie is one thing.
Training your mind to stay calm and execute fearlessly in every situation is another entirely.
You need both skills to make it in this business.
The hardest and most profitable trait you can build as a trader is a grip on emotional behavior.
1. Master your own emotions
Learn to trade via data, not fomo, basically shifting from gambling to understanding the odds you are being dealt.
Somehow I didn’t notice these blog posts : https://t.co/p8oXJPEfmo from @KrisVerma88 before, but now I can’t stop reading them. Very clear and valuable insights. Definitely planning to join the room by the end of the month
Andrew Huberman & David Goggins drop a brutal truth on wealth, friction & willpower:
Huberman: "The children of wealthy people are a case study in how not having enough friction can destroy a life."
Too much comfort → no need to grind → lives that dwindle or plateau at "successful enough."
The engine runs on the stick, the haunt, the internal fire. Give that up and you're done.
Goggins fires back: "Everything I've ever done, I didn't want to do. Every day. I'm a lazy piece of shit... and one of the hardest-working people on earth."
He built unbreakable willpower by forcing himself through what he hated. Now it won't let him stop—even at 49 with broken knees.
The body says "you still can," so he runs. Stop once, and that muscle dies.
"Most people don't want to build it because it's scary—it unlocks who you really are... and it's not a pretty journey."
Friction isn't the enemy. It's the forge. Remove it (money, safety nets, no consequences) and you stay soft. Embrace it deliberately, and you become something most people can't even comprehend.
3:54 clip of two titans breaking down why comfort kills and pain builds legends 👇
What's the one piece of "friction" in your life that keeps you sharp? Or the comfort you're tempted to drop that might actually be holding you back?
@Robleytrades What i have found through this guys. Is that almost every of their setups start from daily chart pattern. I have notion page explaining this a bit more, and screenshots from their twits. Can give you link if interested.
The 3 most deadly traits to excel in trading:
🔥Ambition - " i fucking WANT this... BAD"
🙋♂️Humility -"i dont know everything.. so i'll continue to learn daily"
😤Industriousness-"i will NOT be outworked"
if u're lacking in any of those 3, your money is mine.
