Thunderstorms with rain will persist over parts of northern Ghana this morning. Mist and fog patches are expected to reduce visibility range amidst slight rains over parts of southern Ghana. As the day progresses, brief spells of sunshine are anticipated to prevail for most places in the country with the likelihood of thunderstorms and rain of varying intensities occurring over parts of the coast, middle, transition and northern sectors.

A rainstorm currently observed over Burkina Faso and the border of the country is expected to propagate southwards, increasing cloudiness and triggering thunderstorms or rain of varying intensities over parts of northern Ghana from this night into the early hours of the morning. While mostly cloudy conditions will persist over southern Ghana with few areas expected to experience slight to moderate rains from tonight into early morning.

⛈️ Afternoon/Evening: Isolated thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall are expected over parts of Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Yobe, Adamawa, Borno, and Taraba States.

🔹 What this means: A partly cloudy morning is expected before thunderstorms develop later in the day. Moderate rainfall, lightning, and occasional strong winds are likely across affected areas.

🌄 Central States: Morning Thunderstorms, More Rain Later

🌦️ Morning: Thunderstorms accompanied by light rainfall are expected across parts of the North Central region.

⛈️ Afternoon/Evening: Thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall are expected over parts of Niger, Kwara, Benue, Kogi, Plateau, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

These clouds are expected to induce cloudiness with rain of varying intensity within Oti, Upper East, North- East, and Northern regions from this evening into the night.
