Chinese factories can build a car in 77 seconds, with robots doing the work at a scale the U.S. cannot match right now.

And Trump is out here talking about tariffs like they are a magic switch that makes America “make things again.” Look at the automation in that kind of plant. Even with tariffs, it would take the U.S. decades, realistically 40 years, to rebuild the industrial base and the machine building capability needed to produce that level of robotics at scale, then stack enough volume to get true economies of scale.

And for what, exactly. U.S. cars barely have a market outside the U.S. Meanwhile China builds for the world. As for the rest of the planet watching America’s tariff daydreams: couldn’t the world care less.

They just executed a coordinated martial arts routine with spatial precision, rhythm control, and dynamic balance adjustments in real time.

Kung fu, one of China’s most iconic traditional art forms , performed by machines built with cutting-edge AI control systems, advanced actuators, and high-speed feedback loops. Ancient discipline meets algorithmic precision.

Last year, humanoid robots stepped onto the Spring Festival Gala stage for the first time. This year, they held synchronized kung fu stances with balance that would humble half of us after leg day.

And they did it live!!! On the most-watched television event on the planet.

The progress in just one year is magical.
That’s what we call China speed.

What makes it even sweeter is where this happened.

I love how the progress is integrated in culture. In celebration. In a Lunar New Year gala watched by hundreds of millions.

It’s music to my ears.

The robots didn’t look like they were “trying” anymore. They looked like they belonged.

Their joint articulation was smoother.
Their formation timing tighter.
Their balance recovery almost elegant.
Their choreography is expressive.

That’s what happens when AI models improve, control systems get smarter, hardware stabilizes, and iteration cycles compress.

One year in robotics today is not the same as one year ten years ago.

It’s compounding.

If this is what 12 months looks like,
imagine 36.

The Chinese New Year Robot Kungfu Gala is just futuristic.

✨🇨🇳In China, two police officers helped a mother look after her baby at the railway station while she used the restroom. They kept an eye on the baby in a chair to avoid harm. Though there was a mother-and-baby room, she trusted the police deeply and felt very grateful.

A group of tourists from Xinjiang arrived at Xuwen Port in Guangdong on the afternoon of January 23. They took a ferry to Haikou, Hainan. After the ship docked, the group began to disembark.

At the exit passage, an 85-year-old man from Chongqing was walking very slowly with his suitcase, clearly having difficulty moving. A Uyghur man who was behind him gently offered his arm to support the elderly man for a while. Soon, the old man could no longer walk, so without hesitation, the Uyghur man simply lifted him onto his back and carried him forward.

After a short conversation, they learned that the old man had traveled alone and had no one to meet him. Several kind-hearted members of the Xinjiang group stepped forward to help. They escorted him to the parking lot, called a taxi for him, made sure he knew how to get home, and clearly told the driver the address. They also exchanged phone numbers to make sure he arrived safely.

Later, the elderly man and the taxi driver both called back to confirm that he had reached home safely.

✨ In a world that moves fast, these moments of kindness remind us of what truly matters.
