As most of my friends know, we decided to not go back for S2 of Midnight. Hope those that are back at it w/keys and all the things are having a blast.
Meanwhile, the bff and I are enjoying FFXIV. Working on getting every job to 100 before Evercold.
@SuperMartyo76@MaxTacAgent@TheJoeySwoll looks like it, was about to head over and tell her exactly where she could stick her opinion. oh well, at least this thread gave me new accounts to follow (or unfollow) π
@Gonzo_Hunter@ProfMJCleveland Same. These posts have to be an engagement farm, no one is this self-centered, right? (yeah, I realize unfortunately a ton of people prob are)
@ProfMJCleveland How sad for you. Younger end of GenX and it was awesome. I was not very close to my parents but my grandmothers and those we visited in their age bracket were the best. The food, the stories, all of it - some of my most cherished core memories.
Exactly this. My whole idea of it growing up in the 80s and 90s was that we should have the opportunity to do the same things, provided we could actually do them. A fair shot, not special treatment, not man-hating, none of that bs. I hate what it has become. And then the idea if we disagree with other women about an issue, all of a sudden we're a "pick me" or some nonsense. Women don't share a brain, we're allowed to have opinions that differ from each other. Common sense has gone out the window and it sucks.
@Forgiven4Ever20@azcentral Reading the Protect Ed and SOS posts on honesty/transparency/fraud always gives me a chuckle. I don't know if they believe the manure they shovel out to the public or if they're clueless - or both. Either way, I do not want unhinged people like that teaching my kids.
YAY!!! Thank you for all you do. When we started our ESA journey it was because my son was being bullied in public school for having ASD, and his grades were suffering. You were so helpful and kind. My son is thriving in a private school now - straight A's! He started HS this year. You are a rockstar, thanks again <3
A HUGE win for parents and kids in Arizona! The anti-school choice ballot initiative is OFF the ballot after the anti-school choice union activists pushing the measure spent millions of out of state dollars and hired felons to gather a huge number of signatures. They ultimately fell short of the required number of signatures to qualify. The message is clear! Arizonans support school choice, and Arizona families will retain the freedom to educate their children in the environments that are right for them. Thank you to the Goldwater Institute, AZ Free Enterprise Club, plaintiff Jenny Clark and thousands of parents and supporters across Arizona for fighting in court to ensure that activistsβ deceptive and unlawful attempts to make the ballot were rebuffed.

Used to be you could go down to one stop shop and have someone walk you through the process (or have a contractor do the legwork for you, since they know the process). Permits, plan review, Blue Stake, inspections etc. Worked there in my 20s, including when the bulk of new bldg was going on and it has changed drastically. Now you have to walk through a metal detector just to enter One Civic. Scottsdale is corrupt AF. Sad but true. Could write a book. I don't know where you are in the process but I am sorry it is such a nightmare.
