“A melhor parte foi ver o orgulho nos olhos das minhas filhas.
Saber que estou plantando nelas as mesmas sementes de fé e de comunidade que foram plantadas em mim me traz muita alegria.”

🚨 ACADEMIC LEGACY: The University at Albany (@ualbany) has announced a November 2026 academic lecture dedicated to examining Beyoncé’s LEMONADE through the intersections of popular culture, politics, and education.
Titled “Beyoncé’s Lemonade Lessons: Pop Culture, Politics and Pedagogy,” the lecture will be delivered by Dr. Janell Hobson, Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University at Albany.
The presentation is part of the university’s Fall 2026 academic series, “Teaching Gender, Race, and Feminism in Troubled Times,” placing Beyoncé’s work within a broader scholarly conversation about race, gender, feminism, and cultural education.
Dr. Hobson brings decades of scholarship examining Black womanhood, representation, and popular culture. She previously authored “Beyoncé’s Fierce Feminism” for Ms. Magazine in 2013 and has published extensively on Black feminist thought and cultural identity.
The lecture takes place November 2, 2026, at the University at Albany, with an online participation option available.
