Boss has been really good about it, checking in on me twice this week and asking for my opinions on how to proceed once the colleague I am subbing for begins to slowly come back to work.
I really deal very badly with change that I am not at all in control of.
Really proud of myself for how I am dealing with a rough patch atm. Since 2-3 weeks I have not been doing great, bad sleep, bad IBS, all due to uncertainties at work leading to over-thinking and stress. I wrote to my boss about this last week, just to flag that I might need--
--a little extra support and frequent communication regarding how the plans for my position as a sub will look. Right now that's it, no need to ease my load or anything, but I want them to know, to help them avoid doing something that negatively impacts my stress levels.
You can’t know. You can understand gender identity terminology perfectly and you’d still be unable to look at a person and know who they are. Being gender-affirming is the humility of not knowing and trusting that individuals, not you, are the experts in their own identities.
Parliament of Iran has moved to execute all the tens of thousands of protesters arrested over the last two months. A mass execution of mostly children and the media is silent.
They did this before. 1500 protesters were murdered by the regime in 2019. The world must act.#OpIran
The fact that there are republicans calling to raise the voting age to 21 because Gen-Z showed up in HEAVY Democratic numbers last night is both laughable and terrifying.
On-the-toilet thought: After starting running more regularly and also lifting a little, I sit differently on here. My legs used to shape themselves by the seat I am sitting in, now they're too hard to do so. Huh.
@Debbie_Ellaella You go!!! It's honestly such a good motivator though?! Like, the focus of exercise really becomes function rather than form, where you get in the headspace of "look at what my body can DO" rather than "look at my body".
