@dick_sommers@TheGabriel72@krassenstein I doubt it. Mr.Trump/em didn't ever bother to represent all the people last time he got elected. The first thing he did as president was repeal a law against bringing elephant tusks into US. His sons shot elephants overseas and wanted to bring their ivory trophies back.
@freeme0215@Kevin_D_Jones@pennyblab@WalshFreedom He cannot pardon himself. Mr.Trump/em cannot be pardoned without specifying guilty to a crime. Court cases are usually postponed by the prosecution. While he is president he has immunity from prosecution but shutting down court cases cannot be construed as an official duty.
@SmithRealdonald @pennyblab@WalshFreedom You can't pardon yourself. You can't be pardoned without admitting guilt. Some might admit to some wrong, but I don't count Mr.Trump/em as one of those. He has said a number of times on air and in print and text that to win a court case just continue to deny.
@pennyblab@WalshFreedom My opinion is not to pardon his son. Mr.Trump/em was only besmirching President Biden's son as election disinformation. There was never evidence really even accuse, never any court charges. Like the "birther" and Central Park 5 full page ad. Now it's finis
@Wall_St_Custo@JoJoFromJerz Why yes I will say if anything I thought would happen in a Mr.Trump/em administration doesn't that it didn't happen. Keep in mind that so many unexpected flaunting of power over ethics did already happen that a repeat of past attacks on America's security are not expected again
@NanLee1124@DefiyantlyFree In Arkansas we call them blue dog democrats. "Chosen" to run in one party but to always cross the aisle and be present when there is a vote on a partisan bill to pass or defeat. Doesn't sound like Trump will do anything to cut pensions and raises for congressmen.
@jacob_w_palmer@DefiyantlyFree You think? Which saintly person did he put in his cabinet so I can ... crucify? What an odd choice of words. I was only thinking to get mouthy, not crucify anyone. It's just a word... isn't it? I misunderstood. Didn't I?
@DefiyantlyFree You either value human life or you don't. It really isn't us versus them. There is just us. I can tell you don't like the nation's 1st name, United, but, to quote Pogo Possum, "I have seen the enemy and he is us."
@rosie_440@MikeASperrazza@JoJoFromJerz@realDonaldTrump Our lawmakers can now take up the no-replacement empty title-only "Repeal ACA." You might be wishfully thinking, not hearing what has really been said. It was not Mr.Trump/em but em who said the bureaucracy would be gone. Will workers lose their pensions as in hostile takeover?
@MikeASperrazza@JoJoFromJerz@realDonaldTrump Mr.Trump/em is not taking anything until after Jan 20. He has said he plans to once again bring up that title-only bill called "repeal ACA" and do away with overtime pay and the employer tax that matches a worker's social security and Medicare retirement savings.
@dfroman19@WalshFreedom Did you not notice House impeachment charges? Twice? The 1st for a quid pro offer to Ukraine, the 2nd for encouraging insurrection Both trials were legitimate and both were not even heard by the alwaystrumpersnomatterwhat residing among "our" lawmakers in the Senate
@AlanLevinovitz H.F.I., to be passed down requires both parents to have one of the 2 genes that causes a baby to be born with the rare disease. Because you post about chemical sweeteners, I want to give one more reason why unsweetened cereal choices leaving grocery store shelves is unacceptable.
@AlanLevinovitz It's estimated H.F.I occurs in one in every 20000-30000 live births. I have had hfi for 79 years. Diagnosis, easily done with a DNA test, is rarely done on a newborn and parents are left to try to figure out that sweeteners are what's causing baby's symptoms. It isn't colic.
@AlanLevinovitz Hfi is hereditary fructose intolerance, named in the 50's as a childhood disease. Recent gene research finds it to be the lack of a liver enzyme (adolase-b) important in the liver's function of turning nutrients into pure blood glucose (sugar).
@AlanLevinovitz I have fructosemia. I can't eat sweeteners of any kind. I can't find unsweetened dry cereal in stores. Now all cereal grains come pre sweetened. Sweeteners ingested always cause me to vomit. Too much causes me to pass out. Over time sugar cause permanent damage to my liver.
Hello new followers! Thanks for joining me, I'm very grateful to have you here.
Typically I post about philosophy, religion, science, and medicine — which I also write about — and how they intersect. This can be controversial, but I try to keep it civil.
I also post about beautiful, interesting books, which tends to be less controversial.
For example, check out this book! In the first photo, there's nothing especially unusual about the dust jacket.
In the second photo, though, you can see there might be something going on. What's printed on the back of the jacket?
@RicRicster@SaltyGoat17@DC_Draino What was the Kamala Harris thing? Too much truth about who she was, or about her "birther" record that offends voters in former slave states? Was it the petroleum/gas/chemical/plastics workers who all knew "the thing?" Farmers? Teenagers? Rap singers? Who knew?
@ScrueSuzi@SaltyGoat17@DC_Draino@elonmusk Awakening? I call it the great acceptance of lies by believers in "one ring to rule them all." But hey, who am I to notice there are 3 or 4 different stories about Mr.Trump/em and $billions and Twitter and woke and big plans and stuff when you didn't.
