How is this not illegal??? Cards Against Humanity is PAYING people who didn't vote in 2020 to apologize, make a voting plan, and post #DonaldTrumpIsAHumanToilet—up to $100 for blue-leaning people in swing states. I helped by getting a 2024 Election Pack: https://t.co/1ZBXQJe2qw
In 2017, I paid Cards Against Humanity to protect a pristine plot of border land from Trump’s racist wall. But then an even richer, more racist billionaire—Elon Musk—stole my land and dumped his shit all over it. @ElonMusk owes me $100. #ElonOwesMe100Bucks https://t.co/R2vgr81dIr
Fun trivia: if Jimmy Carter lives to Inauguration Day, he will tie the record for the president who lived to see the most successors. Impressive, especially since four of his successors had two terms, and none of the ones Van Buren saw did.
@XiranJayZhao Looking at your posts and her posts, I finally put something that bothered me into words.
You say that Nazis were evil for what they did.
She says they were evil for who they did it to.
@davidleavitt You say "is" as though that is news. He has been terrible for years. The history is important. I mean, his name is synonymous with "has-been."
@TravisBullJohn1@GovTimWalz People are often guided by their principles, especially religious ones. But if you like the constitution, this fits well with the sixth clause of the preamble. "Promote the general welfare."
@TravisBullJohn1@GovTimWalz A good chunk of Minnesotans follow Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam). As one of them, I approve of Tim's actions and encourage you to learn from him, Travis.
For the rest of us, cash can feel like an impersonal gift. "I don't know what to get you, so buy whatever you want." But for Batman and Superman, it's a subtle reminder that there are problems neither can solve, but they do more good together. It's the most personal gift of all.
1/- Just rewatched the Justice League Unlimited episode "For the Man Who Has Everything," and realized a throwaway joke shows just how well Batman knows Superman.
It's Superman's birthday. Batman and Wonder Woman bring gifts to the Fortress of Solitude. Batman gives him cash.
Enter Batman. On Superman's birthday, Batman gives him an envelope full of cash. Some day later, he hears a mother lament the lack of groceries for her children, or a senior asking how long they can live without medicine. They blink, and Superman has the money they need.
So... is there a reason that Marvel and DC movies with women as solo leads are always set in the past? (And the only ensemble I can think of breaking the rule was Birds of Prey.)
