Last year, the Trump Administration delayed a $10 million grant meant for thinning out ~4,000 acres of dense, dry areas in the Superior National Forest. Most of the work never started. Now, it’s on fire. This is the cost of Elon Musk and the actions of DOGE. https://t.co/k5rpoLXSpg
Every day, we receive reports from our Sumy region and other regions of Ukraine on the consequences of Russian strikes against ordinary agricultural enterprises and bread production facilities. This is Russia’s deliberate tactic of carrying out callous strikes. Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to inform all our partners and representatives of international organizations about the consequences of Russia’s campaign of terror against our ports and agricultural sector.
We have seen this before, in 2022, when Russia’s aggression put food security in many parts of the world at risk – in the Middle East, North Africa, and many other regions of the world.
Now, because of Russia’s blockade of grain exports from the Black Sea region, the cost of living may once again come under pressure – serious pressure – in countries such as Egypt, Libya, and many others that depend on imports of grain and grain products. We are preparing to counter this, and we will coordinate as closely as possible with all our responsible partners who can help protect normal life from Russia.

@adgirlMM With all the crying about solar and wind, no one mentions that the land used for it can be reclaimed if necessary. Not so much with drilling and mining.
CEOs turn to their Head of HR. HR is understaffed. They are being asked to take care of all their employees and families and all the issues associated with keeping them as healthy and sane and productive give as possible.
It’s an impossible job.
When I talk to that Head of HR, they say they have to trust the big insurance carriers who are their ASO and PBM. They have no choice but to
On one hand their members are terrified to change their insurance carriers for fear of losing their doctor, or other continuity issues
The vertically integrated conglomerates that own the ASO, PBM, ClearingHouse and so many more companies that have contracts with the employer , know they are afraid to change , so they take advantage
Even when that employer uses a consultant or broker , there is probably a 50pct or greater chance the broker/consultant doesn’t want to go through the work of changing, they would rather collect their fees and not change.
There are even reporting requirements (Form 5500) to disclose these costs, but the ceo has no clue about them.
All this leads to lack of change. Even when every penny they save goes right to the bottom line and increases their stock price
What I told a ceo today ? Take a off of all of your healthcare contracts and put it in your Claude , ChatGPT, grok, Gemini, whatever and use this prompt
“Where are they ripping me off “
They are always shocked.
Russ Vought set out to ensure a second Trump term would not be hampered by checks and balances:
“I don’t want President Trump having to lose a moment of time having fights in the Oval Office about whether something is legal or doable or moral.”

BREAKING: "Federal officials acknowledged in court documents that they canceled grants to states that didn’t vote for President Trump in 2024," per NYT
Trump just pardoned a convicted fraudster who owed $21.7 million in restitution for defrauding investors.
His name is Adam Kidan. He donated millions to Republican campaigns and groups, including more than $270,000 to Trump’s political committees in 2024, and helped host a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.
Now, his pardon appears to have erased whatever restitution he still owed.
Welcome to Episode 10 of the Pardon Papers.

🚨🚨🚨This is IMPORTANT: You keep hearing "communist" thrown at Democrats. Most people don't know what that word actually did to this country the last time it was weaponized.
In the 1950s, Senator Joseph McCarthy and Congress's House Un-American Activities Committee accused thousands of Americans of being communists with zero solid evidence.
Result: 10,000-12,000 people lost their jobs. Hundreds were imprisoned. 300+ actors, writers, and artists were blacklisted, many never worked again.
5,000 people were fired simply for being gay, in what's now called the "Lavender Scare." At its peak, fewer than 50,000 Americans out of 150 million were even in the Communist Party.
It didn't matter. Neighbors informed on neighbors. Careers were destroyed by a single unproven accusation. It took until 1954, when the Senate finally condemned McCarthy 67-22, for the hysteria to break.
Now watch what's happening today. Trump, Speaker Johnson, and Steve Scalise are reviving that exact playbook, calling Democrats "communists" and "Bolsheviks" ahead of the midterms.
Not because Democrats embraced authoritarianism, but because a GOP strategist admitted it outright: "the old socialist attack stopped stinging, so we needed a scarier word."
Trump himself said it: "All we have to do is define our opponent as being a communist... I think we're hitting a nerve."
And let's be clear on the actual definitions, since they're betting you won't check. There are zero communists in Congress.
Even the Communist Party USA said so themselves: their own chairman stated, "I don't know any Democratic candidate for Congress that's a member of the Communist Party... though I wish there were.'"
Democratic socialists believe in free elections, private property, fair wages and working within democracy. Communism means one-party rule, government control of everything, and no real elections.
Here's the twist they don't want you to see: by that actual definition, MAGA Republicans are closer to it than any Democrat. Trump tried to overturn a free election he lost, pressuring his own VP to reject certified results.
Human Rights Watch's 2026 report found his administration is "concentrating executive power," "weakening checks and balances," and "undermining voting rights." People who tried to help him steal the 2020 election now hold key positions shaping the 2026 midterms. They're not fighting communism. They're describing themselves.
Ask yourself what they actually have to show you. An unauthorized war in Iran. A family whose net worth jumped 60% while in office. A Big Beautiful Gift to themselves that cut $863 billion from Medicaid to fund tax breaks for people who didn't need them, while your healthcare premiums and grocery bills went up.
They're not fighting communism. They're recycling a smear campaign that ruined thousands of innocent lives, because they have nothing real to run on.

Dems didn't sign BECAUSE:
-It doesn't go near as far as it needs to: it doesn't address the BIGGEST INSIDER TRADER in the White House, or member's EXISTING stock holdings, which Dems want them to divest of. AND
-It was all about sneaking in the SAVE act. https://t.co/ADpJsHP5mg
Hmm, where are my “anti big government,” maga friends at?🤷
Oh yeah, they are freaking out about trans surgeries and sex ed.🤦
When will they hold parents (themselves) accountable for how their kids turnout, instead blaming everyone else?🥴
Abbott Labs’ Sturgis, Michigan plant made baby formula contaminated with Cronobacter. The FDA got reports of at least nine infant deaths linked to it.
DOJ prosecutors believed they had the evidence to criminally charge the company. Then DOJ leadership killed the case. Abbott had donated $500,000 to Trump’s inauguration fund. Two months before his own DOJ dropped the case, Trump’s financial disclosure shows he personally bought roughly $500,000 in Abbott stock.
He profited from the same company his government let walk on dead babies.
