a new age, over priced akara seller that doesn’t attend to his customers unless they’re paying in dollars, and he still doesn’t attend to the common man. so where’s the criticism in that video? satire una.
@TheRealTemz It's the society. The level of illiteracy is at an all time high and uneducated people need entertainment too, and they resonate with these 'olodo uprising' content creators.
Last night, I asked my wife to loan me ₦1m till next week when I get paid. She asked what I wanted to do with the money and I told her I've made commitment of assistance to some people and I want to clear it off my list this weekend. I mentioned those people I intend to send money to and she actually know most of them. She sighed and said people are going through a lot in Nigeria, and I also very strongly agree with her.
Most people are not living at all, but are rather barely surviving each day as it comes. I am sincerely curious to know for how long this will continue. When will this end? I saw a video of a 70+ Nigerian woman who was being interviewed on the street of the UK by a certain young guy, and the woman said that she is still sending money to her former colleagues back home in Nigeria because many of them aren't being paid their pension by the government. Many old and young people are going through serious financial challenges in Nigeria, and it is really disturbing. Hardworking people are being made to look like lazy people by the government of Nigeria. A people living in a land blessed with abundant wealth and vast natural resources are now living in scarcity due to the greed of a very few people who are in position of power.
This is not right!
Unwittingly, Portable confirmed Ycee's point here. Every time they try to push back against the "Olodo Uprising" tag, they end up validating it.
What annoys me most is this tiring rebuttal about someone "not having money." Anytime reason fails them, that's where they run.
It’s such a pity that they e have elevated material wealth to the highest standard of social approval, to the point where excellence, intelligence, and sound reasoning are dismissed if they aren't coming from someone who is richer than the subject. It's a societal malady.
Since when did someone's bank balance become the measure of whether their argument makes sense? If a person isn't as rich as you, does that automatically make everything they say invalid?
Olodo uprising is such a comforting word to use to describe the menace we are in.
I was in JSS 2 when I got the real shock of my life. Tell me why many students were spreading rumors that we lost our head girl, when babe wrote “The reading culture amongst students is dead”? …
Each member of Argentina's World Cup team is wearing a personalized shirt with a picture of them and Messi for his birthday 🥹

When I started this . I never expected it to go this far . It’s been a fun and amazing experience. Unfortunately we are almost at the end of this journey(one month left) ❤️😂
One thing I’m happy about is I’ve been able to create a platform for the kids who stood out. Helping them grow it. Thank you all for the love ❤️. We really appreciate it .
