honestly, i'm torn about the whole situation. i understand why some westies worry about est attending the lykn concert, knowing the kind of hate he might receive. i know it comes from wanting to protect him, and i understand that. but at the same time, if est doesn't show up because of these people, won't that just encourage the antis even more? won't they feel like their actions have succeeded in pushing him away? est shouldn't have to stay away because some people can't respect him.

and about this fanproject, it's hard to ignore the fact that the project only features william and lego at a concert for a five member group, especially when there are receipts of some people involved expressing dislike toward est and williamest. if the intention is simply to support william, why does it have to come with this kind of history and controversy? supporting william shouldn't mean disrespecting est or pushing a ghost ship agenda at williamest's expense. we're not against william and lego, but we have every right to question the intentions behind this project.

at this point, it honestly feels like some of these accounts are more interested in creating drama and getting attention for their ship than genuinely supporting william. maybe it's frustrating for them that their preferred ship isn't official, but that doesn't give them the right to disrespect est or drag williamest into their agenda. you can support whoever you want without tearing someone else down. all i want is for william and est to be treated with respect, without either of them becoming a target of unnecessary hate.
