Funny how some drivers suddenly act shocked by the shitty 2026 regulations, as if nobody warned them.

Max Verstappen warned everyone in 2023 that the 2026 regs would be a disaster.

Nobody cared back then.

When he took on the FIA, F1 and FOM at the beginning of this season, almost every other driver stayed silent. Apart from Alonso and Checo, he was left fighting alone.

Max was told to stop complaining. Drivers get paid a lot of money. Retire if you do not like it. The cars are “fun to drive”.

Now, halfway through the season, they are all suddenly discovering the same problems Max has been talking about for years.

Except Max did more than complain. He kept pushing, and now we are getting changes for 2027/28, followed by V8 engines and smaller, lighter cars in 2030/31.

The outcome of my talks with Emmanuel and the work of our teams is an important agreement between Ukraine and France – a step that reflects France’s true leadership in defense cooperation with Ukraine, in the interest of all of Europe.

The key points:

Ukraine will receive licenses to produce very powerful weapons – SCALP missiles, AASM bombs, and Aster 30 missiles in cooperation with Italy. France will also work with us and with other partners on the FREYJA anti-ballistic program – our unique future strength.

Ukraine will be the first to receive the new enhanced Franco-Italian SAMP/T NG systems. These are highly effective anti-ballistic systems. France will also provide two SAMP/T batteries to strengthen our defenses already this year. France and Italy will also accelerate deliveries of Aster 30 missiles by October this year.

Additionally, Ukraine will procure the first 16 Rafale fighter jets for our combat aviation, along with their weapons package. Training for our pilots and maintenance crews in France is set to begin already this year. After that, the first four Rafale aircraft will be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are systematically developing Ukraine's combat capabilities.

Polish nationalist obsession on Volyn-1943 ignores far bigger Stalinist and Polish communist crimes

In 1944-1946, nearly half a million Ukrainians were ethnically cleansed eastward into Soviet Ukraine, and 800,000 Poles were ethnically cleansed into Poland, under the 9 September 1944 treaty between the Polish Committee of National Liberation and the Ukrainian SSR.
The Stalinist-communist operation was coerced and violent, with Polish and Soviet security forces pressuring and forcing Ukrainians and Poles to move.
This was followed in 1947 by "Operation Vistula" by the Polish communist regime: the ethnic cleansing of 150,000 Ukrainians from the southeast Biesczady region to former German territories in Poland.
Thousands of Ukrainians were imprisoned in the Jaworzno camp (former Auschwitz subcamp). Nearly 1000 Ukrainians died.
The Ukrainian Social and Cultural Society (USKT/UTSK), the officially sanctioned Ukrainian minority organisation in Communist Poland which was only allowed to be formed in 1956, remained under Ministry of Internal Affairs surveillance and control until the fall of communism. Its 1990 congress removed the communist-era leadership and restructured it into the Union of Ukrainians in Poland.

Why do Polish nationalists fixate on Ukraine more than Russia/USSR?

Simple: nationalists are obsessed with border revisionism – Russia's too big to grab land from, you can only contain it.

Ukraine's smaller, closer and weakened – a perfect target. And with enough performative outrage and negative emotion hammered into national discourse, you can keep old territorial claims alive.
