We were warned. When Bernie Sanders rails against the billionaire oligarchs buying our democracy, this is exactly what he means.

While everyday Coloradans struggle with inflation, DraftKings and FanDuel are quietly dropping a staggering $1.1 million into our state legislative races to buy influence.

Where is that money going? Nearly $900,000 of it is flooding into Democratic primaries, washing through vaguely named, dark-money PACs to back Democrat candidates in safe blue seats. The Democrats who control Denver are completely comfortable letting out-of-state mega-corporations bankroll their campaigns, proving that corporate special interests hold the real keys to the Capitol.
