Level 45. PC Gamer. RTX 3070 owner. PS4 owner. Movie junkie. TV dweeb. Wrestling fan. Music geek. Food lover. Single loner. Not sure if I missed anything here.
@CyborgMarc Yup. Copy game files on discs, hard drives, SSD's, USB sticks, floppy's, tape drives, anything you want that's a storage device. PC has that power.
@CyborgMarc Been saying.
The issue is not physical vs digital.
It’s about ownership and customer rights.
People who own their games DRM-free and want a physical collection have the liberty to do that — and it will be a complete version of the game that doesn’t rely on someone else.
@CyborgMarc Physical media on PC *can* exist. Digital rights on PC *do* exist. Media preservation on PC *does* exist. @Sony@Playstation wants none of this on their consoles.
@sanguinetales@mrpyo1 Ok so can we focus on that then since that’s the real issue. Discs are a terrible way to ensure content they get scratched. They get laser burnt. I want to store all of my ps5 games on a usb and take it and play it where ever I want
DRM is the enemy not removing discs
Jason Schreier breaks down revenue for physical vs. digital for a $70 game
1st-party (Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo)
▪️ Physical: $45.50
▪️ Digital: $70
💰 54% higher
3rd party (EA, Take-Two, Ubisoft, etc.)
▪️ Physical: $35
▪️ Digital: $49
💰 40% higher
I personally won’t be buying a PS6. I’m not paying over $1,000 for a console with no disc drive, where you’re essentially renting digital games at full price.
Instead, I’ll build a gaming PC. It gives me far more freedom I can use it for gaming, education, Piracy, cracking games, Tons of modding, multiple storefronts, get cheaper games, keep copies of the games once you download the game files.
id Software was exploring a new Perfect Dark game before half the studio was laid off.
They were also toying with a John Wick style IP codenamed Fury.
It had elements of sci-fi, noir, and a concept called 'Gun Fu', which combined gunplay with martial arts.

Majority of fans will accept it but I can’t sleep with clear conscious if I let a corporation dictate how I live my life. I am a consumer, not a number; I am moving to Switch 2 & PC, even if I do it alone, I will sleep knowing I didn’t bend the knee to such anti-consumer practice
Galera, eu acabei dropando Final Fantasy VIII.
