Picture this: you’re a whale shark, the ocean’s colossal masterpiece, drifting through the deep with all the unhurried dignity of a king in his own domain. A living cathedral of grace and power, unbothered by the petty chaos of the surface world.

Nothing hunts you, nothing threatens you until the Han show up, dragging you from the only world you’ve ever known, you’re tossed onto dry land, a realm your massive body wasn’t built to endure.

There, they take a sledgehammer to your body. One swing after another, relentless and clumsy like they’re trying to break a boulder but found the wrong tool. But you’re too big to die quickly and too strong for mercy to come fast. Every hit draws it out, every moment a testament to just how much cruelty it takes to kill something magnificent. Your agony is stretched into something unspeakable, a spectacle of suffering that only humans could invent.

This isn’t new for the Han. When we say they’re an affront to life, it’s not hyperbole. Left unchecked they’ll strip the oceans bare, leech the soil dry and pave over anything green until we’re staring down the barrel of an ecological collapse. Not out of malice because that would almost make it easier to comprehend. It’s their blind, bottomless hunger and their inability to coexist with the world without consuming it entirely.

The Chinese know suffering not because they’re victims of nature but because they’ve waged war against it for centuries. They’re the architects of their own famines and misery. It’s a self perpetuating cycle: take everything, leave nothing and then marvel at the emptiness left behind.

These people have no reverence, no balance, no understanding that the world isn’t infinite. To them, nature is just another factory, another resource to wring dry, another market to exploit. And when they’ve squeezed the last drop from it, they’ll look around bewildered, wondering where it all went, blaming everyone but themselves.
