This Hroptatyr guy is op asf, bro perfected the eye of the fatui in like 10 seconds😭 Bare in mind this was him BEFORE he even became a sinner.
@bonncloud@MurderofBirds_ Being a sub for that long and taking his joke about Noy’s mark so personally (knowing that it’s literally impossible for it to be a Tacet mark) for whatever reason is still strange to me, but like I said before you do you ig. If this is what makes you leave it’s for the better
@bonncloud@MurderofBirds_ No one said you HAVE to be a fan of him as a person, but you were a sub for almost 5 years so it’s clear you were a fan of HIS content and not just genshin, otherwise you would’ve subbed to several other lore CC’s or just supported Genshin itself by buying merch, primogems etc.
That being said, the fact this post even had to be made is actually sad. Theres genuine people out there that can’t comprehend the simple concept of someone deciding to play a different game for fun without incentive. Such tribalist behaviour over gacha games is so pathetic
Given how ppl love to hear what they wanna hear and see what they wanna see, it was a wise decision to make this clear post bc I’m already seeing ppl not understanding what is being said here. So I could only imagine how a video would’ve been chopped up to spread misinfo
After thinking it through, I've decided to not post a video regarding my Wuthering Waves stream from last week, as video content can easily be clipped out of context by bad actors to fuel more online discourse, so this post will serve as the first & last time I address these concerns because I had a stressful weekend and there's a lot that needs to be cleared up.
1) Genshin Impact will ALWAYS be my primary gacha game, not because of viewership or popularity, but because I love Teyvat and it's lore, and I've been covering it for six years. One 9-hour stream isn't going to change that, especially since I wanna also get back into ZZZ and variety content.
2) I was NOT offered any kind of paid promotion, sponsorship, endorsement, gifting, merch, compensation or commercial relationship, monetarily or otherwise, to stream Wuthering Waves. This was mentioned twice, during my initial tweet, and again during the livestream, but many people did not believe me when I said I streamed the game of my own free will. But it's also worth sharing that it's illegal in the United States, via the FTC, as well as Twitch and YouTube guidelines, including Google ad policies, to stream or upload videos and not disclose when any part is a PAID promotion, collaboration, sponsorship, partnership, endorsement, or product placement.
3) I do not place heavy reverence of the days leading up to a game's anniversary livestream, but primarily care about being present and showing up on the actual days of said anniversaries and special programs. I played WuWa two days before Genshin's anniversary livestream preview because it was an impulsive decision and I made it based on the available days in my schedule since I had a rather busy streaming schedule the week and days prior, (Genshin uploads and 2 Nintendo Direct streams) and I knew my following week would be busy following the 7.1 Special Program.
4) I don't make drama or discourse a part of my content, and equally so, I don't focus on things I don't enjoy. I prefer to put my time, effort, and energy into the games, shows, movies, and media that bring me genuine joy and excitement. And because of this, my understanding of the deeper hostility between the Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact community was at a bare basic level (Akin to petty console war squabbling), but I've only just been informed in the last few days that it is far more toxic than that. My desire to play WuWa was not made with this discourse in mind, or to stoke the flames further. I figured some people would make it a big deal, and we would easily ban/block bad actors if need be, but I cannot be held responsible for the actions of others who weaponize my words to distort the truth and harass people who just want to enjoy their games.
5) I can't speak for others but I NEVER compare games in a disparaging or negative manner. The way I see it, if one game reminds me of another game I played, that actually excites me because it's the "two cakes" meme where I'm able to appreciate the similarities and differences between two games without making it about what game is objectively better. For example, when Genshin released, I spent my first stream mentioning a lot of similarities I noticed to BotW, not to bash the game or downplay its quality, but because I loved BotW and played it prior to Genshin, which was one of it's main appeals to me (Along with its anime aesthetic). Mondstadt created that illusion for many people, but the longer you played, the more you realize that the game had its own identity beneath the surface.
6) The comment made in my YT comment section about "So that's where Noy got his neck tattoo", that was a sarcastic joke made by a long-time commenter in my community. And because I knew that, my response to that comment with "That's actually so funny. Now that I've played WuWa, his neck tattoo does resemble a Tacit Mark lol", this was NOT a serious acknowledgement, endorsement, or statement of fact that Noy's neck tattoo was an actual Tacit mark. I made an analysis video when the Transcendence trailer released and even stated that Noy's tattoo has the same shape of Asmoday's portals, but these two statements don't contradict each other because one is a joke that isn't meant to be taken seriously, and the other is an actual analysis being made in a video meant to suggest future story implications. Upon reflection, I can see how this could be seen, likely because the "comparison game" has been going on for a long time, with BotW and likely with WuWa following its release, but that's not what I was promoting or advocating. No, Noy does not have a Tacet Mark, and no, I don't believe the neck tattoo is from WuWa. Anyone weaponizing my words to distort my intention or to speak for them is drama baiting.
7) I will NOT be quitting Wuthering Waves, but there is currently no plans for a consistent schedule or desire to catch up to the main story. I started the game on impulse and I streamed it for 9-hours because I knew it would be a long time before I streamed it again. I will also only be streaming WuWa when my other games (Genshin & HSR) are progressed enough where a WuWa stream won't affect my scheduling plans. I have no intention of making dedicated lore videos either. All of my thoughts, theories, predictions, and opinions of the game will be featured within my playthrough, which will be streamed on my Twitch and MurderofBirds VOD channel only. And I NEED to emphasize this so nobody gets it twisted, I do not feel trapped with Genshin. I genuinely love this game and have no intentions of dropping it. I just intend to do some casual WuWa streams every now and then when my schedule allows it.
8) My world is wide enough where I can play Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves without needing to be dragged into online discourse that I don't participate in, nor have the desire to. I love Genshin Impact and I've been intrigued to play WuWa ever since it released, but I have a terrible work-life balance and was always far too busy. If this upsets you or you feel that it's in your best interest to steer clear of content you don't want to engage with, you're completely within your right to feel that way, but I'm also within mine to enjoy the things I choose, and if that creates an impasse, then it might be for the benefit of us both to express our differences and go our separate ways.
9) Nothing is going to change with my content or demeanor. I'll still be editing, recording, and streaming the same way I always have. And while it's crazy to also wanna try getting into other games casually (ZZZ, variety content, HNA, Nodusfall, Varsapura, etc.), I think 1-2 WuWa streams per month, if I'm lucky, isn't going to change much.
10) I've been creating content for 13 years, and throughout that time, hearing how my videos and streams have inspired people, rekindled their love for certain media, brought back feelings of nostalgia, or even helped them gain a deeper appreciation for the stories we experience has always meant a lot to me. Knowing that something I made could add even a little enjoyment to someone's life is one of the most rewarding parts of doing this, and it's also meant that no matter what I was covering, I always had people to share it with. So whether you're here for whatever comes next, you've been around for years, or you've simply reached a point where my content isn't for you anymore, I just want you to know that I appreciate the time you chose to spend here, and that you were a big chapter of my life as well.
That's all I wanna say. Back to regular content now!
@Aether22222@GachaChatter@RealWoosh_214 I sometimes wonder if people actually listen/ read the things they say. Because how could that even be the case when he started playing genshin since 2020 and wuwa didn’t release until 2024 and he only started playing it 2 years after that 😭
@bonncloud@MurderofBirds_ The irony of being a “fan” for that long but still not understanding Arnold’s personality is quite strange. But like Arnold said if you want to part ways with him and his content then you do you
Ignoring the fact that 90% of what they’re saying in that tiktok is straight up false, if you love the pressure of being forced to pull for meta HSR is right there for you lol
during natlan and nod-krai you all complained that the game was forcing you to pull. now you can pull the characters you like and not worry about the endgame and it's somehow a problem?
y'all can't be serious omg, Genshin is giving a limited selector for the anniversary and we have people saying they would be fine with just a 10 pull because the selector is full of "bricks" ?? Y'all would've gagged over an Archon selector even though half of them are also bricks
@MurderofBirds_ Unfortunate because you seemed to really enjoy the game and lore but parts of the community can’t comprehend someone playing more than one game without criticising another. Gacha tribalism might have caused the WuWa community to lose a great lore CC
Dear Traveler, it's announcement time!
#GenshinImpact#GenshinSpecialProgram
The special program for Genshin Impact's new version will premiere on the official Twitch and YouTube channels on 09/12/2026 at 08:00 AM (UTC-4)!
This special program will feature juicy details about new game content and developments in Version 7.1. It will also "drop" some redemption codes and other goodies!
Some standard gameplay leaks are fine but waiting like 10 years for GTA 6 only to get key story points spoiled is so stupid. There’s 0 benefit to story spoilers, genuinely
And here I thought them adding Nod Krai would’ve been enough of an indication that Hoyo values the story of this game greatly and everything that follows serves to enhance the story and lore of the game
I feel like Genshin is a lot of people’s first game that has non voiced quests and it really is showing. Because from the way people are crying you would think Genshin invented this concept 😭
