The bridge lifts have begun! That means boating season in Chicago is officially here. ⛵🌉
On Wednesdays (at 9am) and Saturdays (at 8am) through June 24th, more than 25 bridges will rise so sailboats can make their way to Lake Michigan.

For the first time in my high school career Amundsen beat Lane Tech 4-3. Maeve Oliver and Skylar Shelist were awesome at the plate. HUGE win from @AllieReynolds43 in the ⭕️. With a full count in the bottom of the seventh, down 3-2, I hit a walk off homerun to call game 💪
Let’s celebrate strength, confidence, resilience and the power of EVERY female who dares to play, work hard, and shine. Cheers to building your bright futures—on and off the field. 💪🥎📚

Two red foxes were seen exploring shelf ice on Lake Michigan on Thursday, January 22.
Nathan Voytovick, who operates Nate’s Dronography, captured drone footage of the two creatures climbing on top of the iced-covered lake in Saint Joseph, Michigan.
“One of the most beautiful things I’ve seen,” Voytovick wrote in a Facebook post.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said cold temperatures over the course of the week had allowed ice to build up on the shores of the lake.
“Please do not venture out onto the ice! Shelf ice can be incredibly unstable,” the weather agency warned.
