Dr Hasnat Khan has returned to Pakistan from the United Kingdom and has been appointed head of the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology.

The globally recognized heart specialist is set to lead one of Lahore’s major upcoming cardiac facilities.

Dr Hasnat has been appointed as the head of the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology, where he will serve in dual roles as CEO and dean. The hospital is expected to become the second major heart disease treatment facility in Lahore, with preparations currently in full swing ahead of its launch.

Officials confirmed that the recruitment and appointment process has already begun, signaling the institution’s readiness to begin operations soon.

Who is Dr Hasant Khan?
Born in Jhelum in 1958, Dr Khan completed his early medical education at King Edward Medical College before moving to the United Kingdom.

He went on to build a distinguished career as a cardiologist at the prestigious Royal Brompton Hospital, where he served for many years.

Connection with Princess Diana
Dr Khan gained international attention in 1995 when Diana, Princess of Wales visited the Royal Brompton Hospital to see a friend undergoing treatment. During that visit, she met Dr Khan, and their relationship later became widely known.

Princess Diana reportedly gave him the affectionate title of “Mr. Wonderful,” further elevating his public profile.

After spending many years serving in the UK’s healthcare system, Dr Khan has now decided to return to Pakistan. His appointment is being seen as a significant step for the country’s healthcare sector, particularly in the field of cardiology.

The launch of the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology, under Dr Khan’s leadership, is expected to enhance access to advanced heart care services in Lahore.

@sony14315 Depends on how heavy the foot is, for lahore roads it is giving even more than 25-26, first three maintenances are company covered so dont really know exact maintenance cost.
