@DoosuurFaki Your research is actually novel!
Do you plan on open-sourcing this at some point?
Would be interesting to also read up some paper on the workings of the application if/when you do a publication on it.
Well done, Doosuur!
If you want to stop being a Junior Developer.
Do these:
Pick a product and build it for 1 million users.
Follow these steps:
- Pick a product (existing or not) that you're curious about.
- Plan the entire development cycle (system design, database design, architectural design, etc)
- Build it completely and send it to your friends to use. (Get 10 -20 users and fix all their feedback)
- Next: Seed your database with 1 million users and records
- Use AutoCannon (Nodejs) to send 50,000 requests per second
- Now use AI to learn and identify all the performance bottlenecks and crashes, and fix them
- Repeat for 100,000, 200,000 requests - till your system crashes.
Come back and tell me what you learnt. Africans engineers must be globally production-ready
Let me know if you're trying it. I'm creating a small circle.
@bvchidra Reason I want to renew my subscription on Claude.
I like the push backs honestly it gives honestly!
Other times I feel like it's outright rude!
You can now pay for things in Africa directly from your AI agent.
Today we’re introducing Paystack Index, the easiest way to check out with Paystack merchants through Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw, and any AI agent.
At launch, you can:
→ Buy airtime: “Buy ₦500 MTN airtime for 080…”
→ Send money with @zapbypaystack: “Send ₦25k to…”
→ Buy food with @ChowdeckHQ: “Order jollof under ₦3k near me”
As more merchants join the Index, you’ll be able to do more, from booking rides and ordering groceries to paying utility bills, quickly and securely.
Paystack Index is now available in Nigeria, with more African markets coming soon.
An experimental product from Paystack and TSG Labs.
I recently downloaded this app and subscribed to premium, after seeing @Benn_X1 post about it.
I spend anywhere btw 40min - 1hr daily on the app, and couldn't have had better
My skill level on @ElevateApp in Speaking is now Expert. Download for free: https://t.co/NJwd0Fna9V
Interesting!
System design, architecture et al. were the foundation and the rest of the building as far as software engineering was concerned.
Coding was only a tool to achieve the goal.
I think AI is actually "forcing" people to go back to the fundamentals.
I am interviewing 3 people for software engineering role today.
No one writes code again, that’s AIs work.
We will be doing systems design, work culture and engineering practices interviews.
@GroveRKifasi "Trafficator" is an old English term that refered to manual illuminated turn arms that popped out at the side of a vehicle to indicate a turn.
Modern terms would be indicator , blinker, especially that the design on vehicles has morphed into blinking lights.
The more I use Laravel, the more I am in awe!
Laravel literally has everything needed to build an application, baked into it right out of the box.
#Laravel
Started today. Building the bot with node/express/Redis/postgresql.
This is just a proof of concept for me, and not necessarily a full blown production application.
I'm doing this to also resolidify my node/express skills after a long time.
What are you working on this holiday?
Me: building a Whatsapp first bus booking application.
Back story: I had a bitter sweet booking an interstate bus ticket for someone, and I thought to myself, what if I could just build a bust booking bot?
