@msciguy @skooookum Pour over needs medium to fine grind size otherwise the water will pass through the coffee bed too quickly. Hard to tell from just a photo, but I'd say it's too coarse and your brew will be underdeveloped.

You could always steep it and separate the grounds with your pour over.

@ajay9470 @msciguy I should elaborate a bit more on the "grinding finer" comment - this basically will result in getting everything out of the coffee much faster which can very easily result in a very bitter "overextracted" brew.

@ajay9470 @msciguy There is a bit of nuance to it because it's all dependent on your choice of bean, roast, grind size and brewing method!

Grinding finer increases the surface area of the grounds, which increases the mass transfer rate and solute accessibility.

While useful for comparing brewing methods (or variations on one) using the same beans at the same roast degree and grind size, for the general coffee consumer it's not too important
