My dear friends, I was up early this morning listening to the rain roll in, praying the patch on my roof will hold, and reading my scriptures while the cardinals and swallows had a chirp-off.

I was reminded of the beauty and majesty of His creation and its untamable nature. Mulling over the myriad problems I face, I realized how they pale compared to those of others, like @KeithMalinak, who is fighting for his life this morning.

I sought out Psalms 116 and 117.

In Psalm 116, David describes distress and anguish, brought low to the point of death, eyes with tears flowing, and feet stumbling. Greatly afflicted, he realized no salvation comes from mankind.

His answer was lifting his voice to the Lord, who listens, cares, delivers, preserves, saves, deals bountifully, and frees.

We are to call on Him, believe in Him, speak of Him, plead before Him, give thanks and praise to Him, serve Him, and love Him.

With all going on in our lives, our nation, and our world, focusing on obedience is challenging. It seems simple but is incredibly hard.

Psalm 117, the shortest, provides context and comfort:

“Praise the Lord, all nations!
Extol Him, all peoples!
For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord!”

The Lord’s faithfulness has no end.

Please lift your prayers today to our God. Tell Him your heart; pray for our families, friends, nation, and world.

We want to thank everyone for your generosity- in prayer and in donations. Keith loves sharing his life with you and feels as if he knows each of you, personally, too! 
He is able to communicate with his eyes, so we know he hears us. We read to him the many prayers and well wishes - so he KNOWS he is loved! The team of doctors and nurses are so incredibly lovely … he could not be in better care. God is the ultimate Physician and we do believe in miracles. None of this is a surprise to Him and we trust His will. He is the God who rose Lazarus and if it is His will, we know He will restore Keith. Through all, we praise and trust Him, giving Him glory. (Our daughters were able to bring his precious Tilda to give him kisses - they both needed that.) We continue to persist in praying for a miracle and thank you for your continued love and prayers. ❤️❤️❤️ kari & family
