Downplay our trophies.

And somehow, some of us have joined them in watering down the Club World Cup win like it was some pre-season invitational.

Let’s be serious.

The new FIFA Club World Cup is not the old Club World Cup. The old format has effectively become the Intercontinental Cup. This new version is the real global club tournament. More teams. Bigger format. Tougher route. Proper world stage.

It is the club version of the FIFA World Cup.

Chelsea won it.

On merit.

Against top opposition.

So why are we acting shy?

You already know what will happen. In four years, if PSG, Real Madrid, Man City, Barcelona or Bayern win it, their fans will remind the world every single day that they are world champions.

They will put it in bios.
They will put it in banners.
They will put it in every debate.
They will use it to end arguments before they even start.

But because it is Chelsea, suddenly we want to be humble and quiet?

No.

Chelsea are world champions for the next four years.

Current form does not erase that.

Argentina lost games after winning the 2022 World Cup. Did that stop them from being world champions?

No.

So why should Chelsea’s poor form make us pretend we did not conquer the world?

We won that trophy.
We earned that title.
We are world champions.

Chelsea fans need to stop apologising for success just because rival fans are uncomfortable with it.

Stand on it.

World Champions. For four years. Act like it.
