@kevinthrasher@GovernorVA@Apple@Google Thanks. Assuming a lot of these apps use the same back end there is more hope they could be useful. Still no excuse for a public entity to not publish source code.
@virginia_tech Do you have a link to the source code repo? It would help make the app less suspect. Also, consider publishing on F-Droid for Android users.
I have a teenager's sense of humor, so one of my favorite First Amendment cases to teach is Yeagle v. Collegiate Times, in which Virginia Tech's student paper identified a university staffer as the “Director of Butt Licking" -- and the staffer sued for libel.

Wow @SlackHQ profoundly stupid IRC decision. Three of six slacks I’m on are leaving your platform. Two are paid accounts. Really disappointed as one of your customers and supporters. You should rethink.
Radia Perlman told the perfect story about how engineers come up with solutions before understanding the problem:
"When my son was 3, he came to me crying 'my hand! my hand!'
I started kissing it. *mwah* *mwah* *mwah* 'Tell me what happened...'
'I got pee on it.'"
