If you need to help people, first you have to reach them. All-terrain logistic support for emergency & essential services. Registered Charity in England & Wales
With an amber weather warning in effect across the county and much of the rest of the county we are keeping an eye on conditions in case the team is required to support the emergency or essential services.
Only travel if strictly necessary and expect debris on roads.
🌧 With #StormHenk on its way today, here are some top tips for driving in strong winds:

Localised flooding on roads can affect your journey.
If water has flooded across a section of road it may be difficult to tell exactly how deep it is. If you do come across a road that is flooded DO NOT attempt to drive through the flood water.

There’s an amber weather warning for wind affecting the county today.
If travelling, expect difficult conditions with possible debris or fallen trees on the road.
If the road is flooded DON’T drive through: turn around and try another route.

We’re keeping an eye on the weather and flood warnings across the county, and moved the team to an elevated status in case we need to deploy.
#WeatherWarning@4x4response
It's our 15th anniversary this December, and since we were founded in 2008 our hundreds of volunteers have covered thousands of miles, supporting the county's emergency and essential services through snow, flood and pandemic, ensuring that the people you rely on to keep you safe.
Driving in flood-prone areas can be extremely dangerous. Remember it's always safer to wait for floodwaters to recede or to find an alternative route than to risk driving through flooding. Your safety is paramount.

We encourage everyone to celebrate Bonfire Night safely. Home displays, if not done correctly have the potential to not only injure people but also set fire to nearby properties. We have a leaflet with safety advice for you to read on our website!

The skies above Corby will be lit up tonight with fireworks for the annual bonfire and fireworks display.
Please note: road closures will be in place from 6pm with no access from the BP Fourways Garage, Cottingham Road along Westcott Way.
We'll also be collecting donations to help us train and equip our volunteers to keep them warm, dry and safe when deployed this winter.
You can also donate by text: text the word CORBY to 70470 to donate £3.
Texts cost your donation plus one text at your standard message rate.
Tonight’s the night! Will you be joining us in #Corby for the amazing @NNorthantsC free #bonfire & #fireworks display?
Our volunteers will be there to help ensure everyone has a great evening. Hope to see you there 🎇
We’ve already seen storms Agnes, Babet and Ciarán this year, and although they’ve not affected the county too much we’re always ready to support the emergency and essential services if needed.
We’re also keeping an eye on the forecast for Corby’s fireworks: we’ll see you there.
Before entering a flood, on foot or in a car, remember these facts:
6 inches of moving water will sweep and adult off their feet.
12 inches of moving water will float a family size car!
32% of flood related deaths are from drowning in a vehicle!
#RoadSafety#StormBabet
Driving through flood water is the number one cause of death during flooding. Just 30cm of moving water is enough to float a car and wash it away.
If your road is flooded, turn around, don't drown.
