Claude found this for me with just a few minutes access to my server would have never discovered it myself. Super easy to change echo "tcp_bbr" | sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/bbr.conf and echo "net.ipv4.tcp_congestion_control=bbr" | sudo tee /etc/sysctl.d/99-bbr.conf

If you use plex on ubuntu you might be getting way worse remote streaming performance than you should. Ubuntu uses CUBIC for TCP traffic control which is terrible for streaming remotely (fine for local) Change to BBR got me from 240kbps to 68mbps!!!

Becoming increasingly convinced we live in a world where it's going to be almost impossible to sell software I've been using Handy instead of Super Whisper and saving the monthly fee using local models. It's incredible, has every feature.

@okaythenfuture @teortaxesTex China has strict laws preventing western control of schools, especially K-12. There are some loopholes for investment but just to name one of many restrictions the board of directors must always be Chinese nationals. The USA has no similar controls.

@adamscrabble I agree with the pro growth direction but don’t understand the thermodynamics of data centers in space. It’s basically impossible to dump the heat, anything at scale now will cook itself. Is there something on the horizon that solves this issue im not aware of?

The problem I have with this is that any recession would almost certainly trigger quantitative easing. You might get a short term spike in price but it’s going to crash hard as inflation realities set in . I don’t see a path to fiscal responsibility. If we keep devaluing the dollar this should stay on its current trajectory. What am I missing?
