@Sinnoware I've played Esoteric Ebb, and this article made me feel like I need to find some time to play Deus Ex, because to me Esoteric Ebb didn't felt like it was inspired by it, and now I'm curious what I could've missed without DE knowledge.
@patrician_tv This whole stuff looks like each layer of management kept quiet about any potential problems from the upper level, fearing that they'd have to suffer for being the bearers of bad news. And it all worked out for them because it looks like only actual devs were sacked.
@Sinnoware Can I speak my mind?
The game was dead on arrival. The concept of PvP imsim wouldn't work, and the decision to pivot to PvE just 2 months before release didn't make things much better. I had genuine fun, but with just 2 maps and 2 characters the game becomes boring very soon
@Sinnoware I dunno, Sinno. You constantly post fresh news, you curate a comprehensive list of imsims, you own and moderate a quite large subreddit. Those are meaningful contributions.
@hellspatisserie One Proud Bavarian had a good run of roleplaying campaigns in CK3 but for some reason decided to stop playing games and moved on to doing Malforianesque newsslop and full-time posting on Twitter.
@JankyByDesign Ohhh, I remember this mission. It was buggy as hell for me: I've completed it undetected but choked every enemy, and the mission ending screen was saying have one kill. This happened one more time, I got mad and completed it without interacting with anyone.
