Police have set up roadblocks along northern routes into Nairobi, causing heavy traffic and delays.

*Affected areas:*
Thika Road near TRM Mall, major delays and diversions
Kasarani motorists being turned back
Heavy congestion at Roysambu, Allsops, Kasarani interchange

*Alternative routes:*
Garden Estate route
Muthaiga North connecting to Kiambu Road
Kiambu Road currently moving but with security checks at key junctions

*Waiyaki Way Status update:*
No confirmed closure on Waiyaki Way or Gitaru Interchange
Expect possible more checkpoints toward CBD

Police have mounted a strong presence at *Kingero Junction (Lower Kabete Road × Western Bypass).*

No private vehicles allowed heading towards town via this junction
