🚘🕳️ Through 2025, @ColinDMello and I invested a lot of time looking into Ontario Premier Doug Ford's dream of tunnelling under Hwy. 401. Through sourcing, freedom of information and lots of questions, here's what we found (in chronological order) #OnPoli
for those who haven't been following, this nepal story is fucking crazy:
- bunch of teens and early 20s kids plan start a social movement against the current regime on social issues and econmical inequalties
- government gets wind of it scaling and tries to geoblock social media
- people get more pissed off, start protesting
- government cant handle the protests, lift social media ban
- doesn't do anything, people just organize further
- burn down parliment building, pm's house. beats the shit out of the finance minister in the streets, kills the pm's wife.
- kids elect their own new PM on their discord server, ex-chief justice of the supreme court who was part of the 1990 revolution that ended the monarchy
- army head ackowldges the validity of the discord vote and is meeting the new interm PM to discuss elections for new leadership going foward
In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done.
My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it.
I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City.

it's genuinely sickening to know that toronto could have such incredible transit but everyone in power is standing in the way
we were supposed to get trains every 15mins but metrolinx has no interest in making toronto great, ever
Ontario's 2025 budget includes significant continued investment in transit. A welcome new addition to the government's transit map is the Sheppard (Line 4) West subway extension.
Looking forward to @Metrolinx continuing planning for this critical transit project.
Ontario’s future depends on a strong post-secondary system. Thriving communities and a competitive economy start with investing in talent. But years of underfunding, rising costs and federal policy changes are putting workforce development, upskilling and reskilling at risk.
That’s why Colleges Ontario, @OntarioCofC and @OntUniv have come together to urge the government to act. In a joint letter to Ministers @nolanmquinn and @pbethlenfalvy, we’re calling for urgent strategic investment in post-secondary education to protect Ontario’s future.

Canadians vote for parties, not Prime Ministers. When you go to the ballot box, you don't vote for a PM, you select your MP.
We need more stringent civics education in this country.
