while mcu jean's origin is different, her character isnt. this is exactly how 616 jean would have reacted in this "what if..." context. i ofc would have loved a more accurate origin for her, but im very happy with how she's (as the character) was written. she *is* jean.

And she gets stolen from her and grief completely takes over. I thought the film did an incredible job mirroring Peter and Jeans experiences, culminating with the scene in Peter’s mind with May. That really hit for me and why this new backstory they’ve created for her works imo.

I think the diaologue regarding some of Jean’s actions in the film fail to recognize this is completely new backstory for her. She didn’t grow up with parents who loved her when her powers starting manifesting, or an Xavier to guide her. Her only anchor was a her sister.

Punisher is there for Pete’s isolation, Hulk is there bc of Pete fighting his inner demons, MJ & Ned are there to show sacrifice, Yelena is there bc she’s felt alone like Peter, Sadie Sink’s character aligns with Peter’s arc etc Everything serves a purpose. Best use of the mcU.

🚨 BREAKING: The reason Yan Diomandé's move to Real Madrid hasn't been announced yet is because Diomandé's former agent, Max Gradel, is alleging BREACH OF CONTRACT in his terms with the player.

Real Madrid negotiated the deal with Roc Nation, and were UNAWARE of any issue involving his former agent.

It is A MAJOR ISSUE.

Max Gradel has now filed a COMPLAINT TO FIFA.

FIFA could now either grant Dionandé a provisional license to let the deal go through, or to DELAY it, or to COMPLETELY STOP the transfer from going through.

Everything was DONE between Real Madrid & Leipzig, but now everyone is waiting for the resolution of this issue. @diarioas
