@Chels1an Are you alright? How can players who were not fit to even play explain Santos being lower in the order? Where is the evidence Essugo is a more capable player?
@TrifectaSport This argument makes no sense. It's not about Enzo or Caicedo. It's about Romeo Lavia and full backs getting more priority over him in midfield.
@ksarfo_ 1) His position in Chelsea's squad is not a fair reflection of his ability.
2) In a market with rapidly inflating prices for midfield talent, taking a shot at a player for that price can potentially pay off really well. BIG "if" though.
@miki_djan@themedeek Essugo is a 21 year old with 1 full season of football in the top flight. There is no sample size large enough from which to conclude "he has a good fitness record".
@roqueXI Wouldn't put it primarily on the managers. It's a squad building problem. Chelsea recruited a player who needs others to help him feel with the demands of the league. Apart from Caicedo there's no one else for the best part of three years.
@miki_djan@themedeek ... interests in mind. So I don't see how betraying or taking a stance against Maresca is something that should have you against a player. Anyone who seriously wanted the best for Chelsea would ultimately have come to a confrontation against Maresca.
@miki_djan@themedeek Veiga's problem wasn't playing time. It was position. And I'm not sure taking a stance against Veiga works out very well after what Maresca did to Chelsea in the end. Maresca's treatment of Hato and ultimate betrayal of Chelsea is clear evidence he did not have Chelsea's ....
@SuperFrankit@Chess044@LKCOYB This is not true. An agent cannot effectively do their job without semi-autonomy. Saying an agent is a players "puppet" is wild.
@KelsTheAnalyst To be fair though club sides have a lot of time to train and work on those structures. It's harder for an international team. If you think back to Spain 2008-2012 they depended a lot on the Barcelona Iniesta-Busquets-Xavi chemistry.
