What does Forward Generation Africa (FGA) stand for?
🔹 Advocacy that produces solutions, not just complaints.
🔹 Civic engagement that translates ideas into action.
🔹 A generation that believes Africa’s greatest resource is its youths
This is the generation we’re building.
Africa doesn’t need another generation waiting for change.
It needs a generation creating it. We refuse to be defined by the challenges of our continent. We choose to be part of the solutions. To every young African with a vision for a better life, follow us to create this change!

Dear my sons and daughters, especially @Makerere
A heartbreaking story is circulating about a university student who allegedly took their own life over a debt of 350,000 UGX. While the details are still unverified, the social impact and the pain of this letter are very real. We must not let this and similar tragedies pass without learning from them.
Please, anchor your hearts on these truths:
1. Your life is your ultimate responsibility. This life belongs to you. You have a sole, sacred duty to protect it—for yourself and for those who love you. The journey will not always be smooth, but please, do not give up on yourself. Don't give up on us!
2. No challenge is worth your life. No amount of money, no academic failure, and no relationship heartbreak is equal to the value of a human soul. Absolutely nothing is worth losing your life over.
3. Storms do not last forever. Whatever pain or embarrassment you are feeling right now is temporary. No situation is permanent. You will overcome this—it might not be today, but tomorrow is guaranteed to bring a shift. Hold onto this assurance.
4. Unleash your agency. It is heartbreaking to think a university intellect can lose hope over 350k, yet primary school dropouts are surviving and thriving on roadside markets with the same amount. You have the intellect and the power to pivot. Proactively work around your challenges. Osobola—you are capable!
5. Take it to the Lord. Pray without ceasing. When we surrender our heaviest burdens in prayer, God reveals paths we could never see on our own. Take your anxieties to Jesus.
6. Break the silence. While you quietly suffer over a small debt, the classmate next to you just lost a parent, another has zero tuition, and another is battling a chronic illness—yet they soldier on. You are not alone.
Here @Makerere, we have well-facilitated, confidential counseling services and other social support systems at the @DOS_Makerere & @MakerereGMD to help you navigate campus life. Please, use them.
Silence is a silent killer. Stay safe. Hang in there, because tomorrow always brings a better story.
