One more road trip coming up for Nacho Cheese Fry Golbeck-Burghart. I will miss watcho-ing him, but I know that this will be much better for him and the entire GR household in the long run. 🧡

When we took in nacho from @tine_theherd, we were expecting a disabled dog w/serious allergies & orthopedic issues; his prev family asked to euthanize him bc of the seriousness & expense of his condition. Instead, we got a happy, healthy, energetic 80lb puppy: our nacho c. fry 1/

This is the official end of the Nacho Wacho. Nacho’s new family is so lucky to have our special boy and we are so lucky that he found such a good home.
I hope he never learns to drink normally and continues to enjoy falling off of things 🧡

Nacho moved in with his new family today. We are sad to see him go, but he is going to have an amazing life. They have a pool, a beach house on the ocean, and they clearly love him so much already. 1/2

- When Nacho's owners couldn't take care of him anymore, @alpine_animal took him in and made sure he got to someone who could give him a great home

@TrueAnimalLove1 Nacho likely needs specialized orthopedic surgery which requires a long at-home rehab process. He also has serious allergies which will probably require expensive prescription food. Even with discounted vet care, it's just not always possible for families to keep dogs like that.

2948 miles, 11 states, 6 cars, 5 days, 4 sleepovers, and 3 timezones later, Nacho Cheese Golbeck-Burghardt has arrived at his new home in Sugarloaf Key, Florida. It has been an honor to document this cheezy boy's epic journey. Enjoy paradise Nacho Nacho Man ❤️

@dmgeran @TheGoldenRatio4 @alpine_animal @tine_theherd Absolutely! They did what they could for Nacho, and recognized when his needs were more than they could manage. We've seen with so many of the GR fosters what happens when families keep a dog they can't care for anymore.

- Fittingly, @IngoBurghardt completed the longest ever grocery run with a two day stint, bringing Nacho from Atlanta to Orlando and then Orlando to the Keys.
