Dialogue is key to peaceful talks. We will never find peace within the police communities if we can not talk with one another. In todays society it is so hard to talk to one another without being overwhelmed with rage in todays politcal climate.

What happened in multiple cities across the United States in regards to police brutality over the past few years are all tragedies. But, we must be anger toward the weak and flawed entry processes which allowed these corrupt officers to be hired.

There is a large gap between people who feel comfortable in the protection of law enforcement and those who are not. I believe that police departments need to be responsible for reporting and condemning the actions of overtly violent officers.

Personally, I believe that some possible solution to create more unity between minority groups and their local police departments is by holding events such parties in order to have residents get to know their local law enforcement officers better.

In our society today, officers in every state and of every city have been ridiculed and attacked for actions that they have not committed. Citizens today need to have deliberate dialogues with officers in their towns to understand their motives.
