This is my little daughter, Lina. She is only four years old.

At her age, she should be laughing, playing with dolls, running through parks, and dreaming about birthdays and cartoons. Instead, she has learned what war, displacement, fear, and loss mean before she has even learned how to write her own name.

Almost every night, she looks into my eyes and asks me the same heartbreaking question:

"Daddy... when will we have a real home like other children?"

Those few words break me every single time.

As her father, there is no greater pain than watching your child dream of something as simple as a safe place to sleep, knowing you cannot give it to her.

Lina doesn't ask for expensive toys. She doesn't ask for luxury. She only wants to live like any other little girl—to wake up without fear, to have food when she is hungry, clean water when she is thirsty, and a place she can finally call home.

Every day, I do everything I can to protect my children, but there are battles that a father's love alone cannot win.

Today, I am putting my pride aside and asking for your kindness.

Today, June 25, is the birthday of the most extraordinary woman I have ever known.

My wife, Iftikhar, is not just my partner in life—she is my strength, my refuge, and the light that has guided me through the darkest moments.

She sacrificed everything for our family. She gave up what was rightfully hers to help us build our home, only to watch that home be destroyed. Through war, loss, and displacement, she never left my side. Together, we have been forced to move more than eleven times, facing uncertainty and hardship at every turn.

Yet despite everything she has endured, she continues to care for me with endless patience and love. She looks after me as if I were her own child and loves me not for what I have, but simply for who I am.

Today, on her birthday, I want the world to know how grateful I am for this incredible woman. No words can truly express the depth of my admiration, respect, and love for her. She has carried burdens that would break many people, yet she continues to face each day with courage, dignity, and a beautiful heart.

My dear Iftikhar, you are the greatest blessing God has given me. Thank you for every sacrifice, every tear, every prayer, and every moment you stood beside me when the world seemed to be falling apart.
