Iran’s regime just sentenced a 22-year-old rapper to death.

Not for murder. Not for terrorism. For slogans, dissent, for refusing to shut up. Simply for demanding freedom and protesting against oppression.

His name is Mehnam Navab-Safavi. He was arrested, forced to confess, denied a real trial, and now faces execution.

And somehow the international community still treats Iran’s rulers like difficult diplomats instead of what they are: executioners with embassies and good lobbyists in the West.

In the past two weeks alone, at least 50 protesters have reportedly had death sentences issued, upheld, or carried out.

So I call on all rappers, singers, celebrities who post ten slides about free speech, now please be his voice. Because this is free speech with a noose around its neck.

Please use your platform and demand that Iran’s regime stop the execution of Mehnam Navab-Safavi.

These days, across Iran, the cities and streets are overflowing with dance, music, and men and women dancing side by side.

What you are witnessing is not a nationwide celebration. It is a new form of mourning. After the massacre of 40,000 people, Iranians have chosen to transform grief into defiance. They have turned mourning into a powerful protest against every imposed element of Islamic and Sharia law that has suffocated society for 47 years.

For nearly five decades, we were told that mourning must look a certain way: a cleric leading the ceremony, reciting from the Quran, orchestrating grief, while people beat their chests in ritual sorrow. We were told that sorrow belonged to the mullahs.

But today, the people have reclaimed it. Today cleric are disappeared from public funeral ceremonies.
The message is very clear, revolutionary and symbolic: You killed our beloved ones, you don’t get to lead the funeral.

This is happening in my wounded country Iran, where the regime tells us showing a woman’s hair is forbidden. Dancing is forbidden. Listening to this music is forbidden. Men and women standing together, moving together, is forbidden.

This is a renaissance. A profound transformation. Revolution against Islamic regime. For the first time in our modern history, in every corner of Iran, every single day, we are witnessing a society redefining what grief, resistance, and freedom look like.

Ali Karami, a 26 year old Iranian protester killed by the Islamic Republic in recent uprising, wrote this in his will before going out to protest:

“If I die before my dog, please let him see my body. He understands death. He can mourn me. If he doesn’t see my body, he will think I have left and will wait for my return.”

This is the kind of human being the Islamic Republic kills.

A regime that calls a dog unclean, yet finds it perfectly acceptable to murder a peaceful protester.
A government that fears dignity, loyalty, and love more than anything else.

This is a powerful testament to the people of Fardis resisting and fighting with bare hands against Khamenei’s heavily armed terrorists. Brave citizens standing fearlessly against killers given the green light by Khamenei himself.

Her name was Raha Bohlulipour, 19 years old, studied Italian in Tehran. Killed by security forces for the crime of demanding freedom.
She once wrote: “I am a big fan of life.”

For wanting a normal life,
the Islamic Republic shot her in the lung and killed her on January 9.
