If Ugandans do not stand up now — firmly, clearly, and without fear — against the madness Muhoozi and PLU are unfolding, I honestly do not know whether in just another year there will still be a country left to speak of.Look at the conduct. Look at Mwenda.
Look at Kabanda. Look at the recklessness that now passes for strategy.
A serving Chief of Defence Forces is running a nationwide political machine, issuing “patriotic officer” numbers, launching 20-million-signature drives for 2031, and treating the state like a family project. The Constitution says the army must be non-partisan. The UPDF Act says an officer who wants elective office must first leave the force. That is not a suggestion. That is the law.
Instead we get palace politics dressed up as patriotism. Endorsements announced and withdrawn overnight. Ministers and MPs herded into a parallel structure. Reckless statements, internal feuds, public humiliations, and a culture where loyalty to one man is treated as more important than loyalty to the Republic.Mwenda and Kabanda are not the disease. They are the symptom. The disease is impunity, the belief that power no longer needs restraint, institutions no longer need respect, and Uganda can be managed like a personal court.
A country is not a rally.
A country is not a signature book.
A country is not a succession plan whispered from father to son while the rest of us are told to clap.If we stay silent now, we should not pretend to be shocked later when the institutions that still hold this place together are too weak to matter.Stand up. Speak.
Demand that the army stay in barracks, that the Constitution mean something, and that no clique — however connected — be allowed to gamble with the future of 45 million people.Uganda is not anyone’s inheritance.

PAUL MUSOKE was a young patriot. A committed foot soldier. A disciplined youth leader who went through the @NUP_Ug School of Leadership. Last week, Paul's house was attacked. It's door was closed from outside before being set on fire. He sustained severe injuries before being rushed to hospital by the neighbours. Despite every effort, Paul did not make it. Yesterday evening, he passed on at only 27 years of age. Such a tragic loss. Paul joins our countless comrades and supporters who have died under the most painful, brutal circumstances. In almost all cases, perpetrators of these crimes are never brought to book. Paul deserves justice. Fare thee well comrade.

After dark, Dr @kizzabesigye1 was moved from Luzira Prison to JCRC hospital today.

He is still very weak. He struggles to walk, speak, write or even hold anything steadily.

I am asking for one thing - let me bring him home to Geneva for proper medical care, surrounded by his family.

He has been arrested more than 50 times. He has faced case after case. He has never run away from justice.

Why drag a sick man from place to place? Why deny him the care of his family? Why force a trial on a man too ill to defend himself?

He needs care, not cruelty.

This is not justice. It is persecution.
