By popular demand, I added a fifth backend to Sage, my new Redis/Valkey Scala library. You can now use it with Future and Pekko Streams!

@manogadon@wisdomXplorer That's trivially false. Proofs build on top of facts. If facts need proofs and proofs need facts it's turtles all the way down!
@devinjameson It's a double-edged sword. IME Opus will often substitute details of my explicit instructions for what it thinks is a better idea. It's "too proactive"
I and other ZIO Blocks contributors are going "Loom-native" for the JVM--i.e. no async!
But for streams on JS, unfortunately I do need an Async type (NOT an effect type like ZIO).
So I've been working on a cross-platform type for async streams, and early results are promising.
Today I released Sage, a fast and modern Redis/Valkey client library in Scala 3, with support for ZIO, Cats Effect, Kyo and Ox.
It is a RESP3 protocol-native implementation, designed with advanced use cases in mind (pipelining, cluster, caching, etc).

Kyo RC4 is out, and it's yet another big one 🚀
🧩 kyo-ui: web UIs as pure values, rich reactivity across clients and servers
🌐 kyo-browser: drive a real browser with automatic settlement across all platforms
🔌 kyo-ffi: bind a C library once, call it from JVM, JS, and Native 😱
🪄 kyo-compat: write a library once, ship it to six effect backends (Kyo, ZIO, Cats Effect, Future, Ox, Twitter Future)
🕸️ WebAssembly is now a fourth cross-build target, published to Maven Central
The cherry on top? The project is finally fully documented and has a new website 🥳
Updates in latest Tapir:
• zio-opentelemetry integration (for any ZIO server) - thanks to Olivier Nouguier!
• build stabilization: fixing a number of flaky tests - for a faster PR turn-around
• fixing buffer leaks in the netty multipart implementation

My name is Gabe Einhorn. I’m a 24 year old founder, building VryfID, which verifies renters identity and income, then matches them with apartments they can actually afford. For landlords, this helps them fill units faster, increase occupancy, and raise NOI.
I posted last week about an antisemitic incident, and since then it has blown up everywhere. Social media is flooded with people who hate Jews, and their only goal is to try to destroy us, as you see below. This guy just wants to destroy my business, and take down any Jewish person.
Thank God, there are many good people out there who have been supporting me, and who are standing up to hate. If you are seeing this and want to be involved with what we are building, both with VryfID, as well as our fight against hate, please reach out.
UPDATE: I had a long, but productive conversation with YouTube. They agree that I made enough of a case to trigger an additional review (good news).
The part of me showing the Christians that were killed by that Muslim group in Africa was what triggered the ban! (The world doesn't want you to see how many Christians are killed by Muslims)!
I explained that their guidelines allow for this content if it is being commented on as a news reporting or for educational purposes. I hope this works! If it does not, my live will be banned until "a future date" (they wouldn't tell me what date but people have told me it is generally a week) so I hope this works!
If it doesn't, I will go live tomorrow on tiktok and X. I am considering doing an X space... just to see if that is something you all would be interested in?
