📢 Version Updates, Multiplayer & Cross-Platform Info

Hi Islanders! 🌟
With the 1.0 release now here, we’ll continue bringing updates and improvements to Starsand Island so everyone can have a smoother experience.
Here’s a quick overview of a few things we know many of you have been asking about:

🖥️ PC & Console Update Schedule
Once a new version is ready, the PC version can usually be updated first.
For PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2, each update needs to be submitted to the platform for review and approval before it can go live.
Because every platform has its own review process, console updates may sometimes arrive a little later than PC.
Don’t worry — this doesn’t mean console versions are being left behind! We’ll continue submitting updates as soon as they’re ready, and we’ll share update notes whenever new versions go live.

🏝️ Multiplayer Guide
We know some Islanders may be jumping into 1.0 specifically to play multiplayer with friends!
Multiplayer isn’t available immediately when starting a new game, so we’ve prepared a step-by-step guide to help explain how to unlock and use it.

🌐 What about cross-platform multiplayer?
We’ve also seen lots of Islanders asking if they’ll eventually be able to farm, build, and explore together with friends on other platforms.
Cross-platform multiplayer is something we’re continuing to look into and research.
If there are any new developments, we’ll make sure to share them with everyone as soon as possible!

Starsand Island Nintendo Switch 2 Version – Upcoming Update Information

Dear Islanders,
Thank you for your continued support of Starsand Island, and for sharing your experiences and feedback since the full version launched!
The game is now available in Version 1.0. We have been closely monitoring the issues players have encountered and are continuing to improve the multiplayer experience, event content, and overall game performance.
To help everyone better understand what's coming next, we have summarized the currently known issues and the content planned for the upcoming update.
Known Issues
Some players may currently encounter the following issues:

【Multiplayer Issues】
Some multiplayer features may experience synchronization issues.
Guests may encounter display or interaction issues in certain situations.
Some multiplayer quests may become stuck and prevent progression.
Merchant ship states may not synchronize correctly during multiplayer sessions.
Some tabs in the Starsand Shop may display incorrectly.
Guests may be unable to see the cross-sea bridge in certain situations.
Guests may only catch treasure chests while fishing in multiplayer.

【Performance & Display Issues】
Stuttering may occur during large-scale planting and harvesting.
Some scenes may experience performance fluctuations.
Players may experience brief loading or display issues when loading event content.
Nintendo Switch 2 may experience low-resolution rendering issues in certain situations.
We are aware of these issues and are actively working on fixes and improvements.

Upcoming Update

Building on the current version, the upcoming update will further expand and improve seasonal events and new content, while focusing on enhancing the multiplayer experience and overall game performance.

【New Content & Event Improvements】
Added a brand-new gym-themed set, including a treadmill, yoga mat, kettlebell, dumbbells, resistance bands, gym-themed floor finishes, fitness outfits, boxing gloves, and more.
Added related content including an automatic coffee machine, animal shelters, and blind boxes.
Further improved the Pumpkin Carnival, Lunar New Year, and Beach Festival events.
Added new animations to the event interfaces.
Added Lunar New Year assets and Five Blessings couplets.
Added environmental decorations for the Pumpkin Carnival and Beach Festival events.
Added the second batch of official blueprints from the Blueprint Contest.

【Multiplayer Improvements】
Improved multiplayer functionality. Guests can now properly access and use quests, requests, shops, and land plots.
Updated multiplayer shop listings and multiplayer profile cards.
Improved the multiplayer friendship system.
Fixed an issue where guests could become progression-blocked in the Adventure, Crafting, Farming, and Fishing profession questlines.
Fixed an issue where merchant ship states were not synchronized correctly.
Fixed an issue where incorrect tabs were displayed in the Starsand Shop.
Fixed an issue where the cross-sea bridge was not visible to guests.
Fixed an issue where guests could only catch treasure chests while fishing.
Fixed other multiplayer-related issues.

【Performance Improvements】
Added event-related objects to the streaming system to improve loading behavior.
Fixed various other known issues.
Improved overall game performance.
Improved the low-resolution rendering issue on Nintendo Switch 2.

In short, the upcoming update will focus on addressing several known multiplayer issues in the current version, further improving new content and seasonal events, and enhancing overall game performance and display quality on Nintendo Switch 2.
If you encounter any of the issues mentioned above, thank you for your patience as we work on the upcoming update. We will continue to collect your feedback and make further improvements to the game.
