NewJeans Owes No One an Apology!!
There's this persistent attempt to rewrite history, as though NewJeans woke up one morning and decided to wage war against the largest entertainment conglomerate in Korea.
That's not what happened.
A corporate power struggle erupted around them. HYBE started the conflict. The media play was bad. The misinformation campaigns were relentless. Decisions were made that directly affected the people they trusted, the team that helped built their careers, and ultimately their own futures.
When they believed their trust had been broken, they spoke.
No one should apologize for speaking up. Not for resisting. Not for refusing to quietly accept decisions imposed on them. And certainly not for choosing dignity over silence.
The lawsuit isn’t just about the penalty.
If Danielle wins, it would likely mean the court found that ADOR acted wrongfully, caused damages, or failed in its duty to the girls. That’s especially important because ADOR told the court they would take care of all the members if they returned. If the court later finds Danielle and NewJeans were actually harmed, that creates a clear contradiction… ADOR claimed responsibility and proper management, but the outcome would suggest the opposite.
It would also strengthen NewJeans’ original claim that the trust relationship had already broken down. And once trust is considered broken, it becomes harder to argue that the exclusive contracts should continue. A ruling in Danielle’s favor could also support arguments of unequal or arbitrary treatment, especially if she was terminated and harmed while others were kept under different conditions.
While each contract is reviewed individually, courts still look at the bigger picture. So Danielle winning wouldn’t automatically free the other members, but if they decide to file a lawsuit to terminate their contracts, it would strengthen their argument that trust is gone, ADOR’s management is inconsistent, and staying in the contracts is no longer reasonable.
Danielle's lawyer: Among the defendants, Danielle is an idol. If this lawsuit drags on, she inevitably suffers harm. This is the most important period of her career. ADOR, as an entertainment agency, knows this, which is why they appear to be delaying the proceedings. They did not only sue Danielle — they also included her mother and Min Hee‑jin, who are not parties to the exclusive contract.
Recently, ADOR requested that this preparatory hearing be postponed by two months. It seems clear they are trying to stretch out the lawsuit. We ask the court to conduct the trial swiftly and intensively.
Since ADOR is the plaintiff, they should already have a plan for proving their claims. The issues are clear, and much of the evidence is already known. There is no need to prolong the case to gather additional evidence.
