✨The @NipostNgn Agro-Logistics Initiative (#NAILI) is one of the projects dearest to us at NIPOST and a proud pillar of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

No more wasted harvests. No more produce spoiling on the way to market. With #NAILI, food will move from farm to market faster, fresher, and safer, putting more money in farmers’ pockets and fresher food on every Nigerian table.

#NAILI is not just logistics, it is a revolution for agriculture, food security, and the future of our economy.

Special thanks to @tvcnewsng for spotlighting this transformative project. Together, we’re showing Nigerians that with #NAILI, every harvest will count, every farmer will win, and every citizen will feel the difference.

I recently had the privilege of unveiling the NIPOST Agro-Logistics Initiative (#NAILI)

A groundbreaking intervention aimed at transforming agricultural logistics and advancing food security in Nigeria.

#NAILI demonstrates @NipostNgn's commitment to leveraging our extensive nationwide network to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR (@officialABAT) 's food security agenda, empower rural communities, and build sustainable partnerships across key sectors of the economy.

Nigeria’s agricultural sector has long faced the devastating challenge of post-harvest losses. Research shows more than 40% of farm produce is lost annually due to inadequate logistics, poor storage, and weak distribution infrastructure.

These losses undermine farmers’ incomes, threaten national food security, and limit the sector’s contribution to our economy.

In response, NIPOST developed the Agro-Logistics Initiative (#NAILI) to reposition agriculture as a driver of sustainable economic growth by ensuring farm produce is efficiently moved from rural production hubs to markets and consumers nationwide.

The objectives of #NAILI are clear:

🔑 Reduce post-harvest losses through improved logistics and timely transportation.

🔑 Strengthen national food security by ensuring availability and accessibility of farm produce.

🔑 Create jobs and empower rural communities through expanded agricultural value chains.

🔑 Foster partnerships between government, farmers, development agencies, and the private sector for a coordinated response to food insecurity.

The official launch of #NAILI was performed by the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, @FMCIDENigeria
Dr. @BosunTijani, alongside me, and was hosted at the Office of the National Security Adviser (#ONSA) with the participation of key stakeholders, development partners, and relevant government agencies.

In his remarks, the Honourable Minister emphasised the Federal Government’s commitment to harnessing innovation and institutional infrastructure for national development and highlighted NIPOST’s strategic role in strengthening agricultural value chains through our unparalleled logistics coverage.

I described #NAILI in my remarks as more than a logistics programme, it is a national commitment to ensuring what Nigerian farmers grow reach the people, nourish communities, and reduce wastage.

The presence and readiness of government agencies, security institutions, farmers’ associations, and private sector players underscored the collaborative nature of this initiative.
The Office of the National Security Adviser #ONSA pledged support, recognising the vital link between food security, stability, and national development.

By anchoring #NAILI on partnerships, we have created an inclusive platform where multiple actors across the agricultural value chain can work together toward sustainable solutions.

By integrating technology, infrastructure, and stakeholder collaboration, the #NAILI initiative is poised to:

✅ Enhance the competitiveness of Nigerian farmers.

✅ Strengthen local economies through job creation.

✅ Position NIPOST as a strategic player in national development beyond traditional postal services.

I am deeply grateful for the supervisory guidance, steadfast belief, and immense contributions of the Honourable Minister, Dr. @BosunTijani, whose support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.

I also wish to sincerely acknowledge the invaluable contributions and collaborations of our partners:
