So women are worried about being raped and men are worried of being falsely accused of it.
It seems crazy to me that men aren’t worried enough to be more careful about putting themselves into situations where these false allegation’s could happen.
Why don’t men just be more careful? Go out in groups, not alone? Why don’t they always tell a friend if they’re meeting a woman or stay around women in public spaces until they can trust them? Maybe men should watch how much they drink too, that would help so they’re not as vulnerable.
🧵: The “false allegations of rape” storyline is one of society’s most successful conspiracy theories and one of our most pervasive moral panics. Of course, it happens. All humans are capable of lying. But the number of false allegations is NOT statistically significant. 1/4
Today is my last day as a member of @VirginActiveUK, after 9 years and 10 months. Main reason? They cancelled their @lesmillsUK#BodyCombat classes, so I’ll be moving on to @FitnessFirst_UK 🥊
