A great piece by @VPrasadMDMPH on masking children, evidence-based and balanced. Beyond its fraught topic, the underlying message, to me, is that we should 'follow the science' not as obedient members of a cult but as inquisitive, critical adults.

I'd like to take a minute to talk about how reading is taught in the early years, because I think it explains the risks for K–3's created by COVID era instructional changes.

Great article. So helpful to explain failure of public health interventions in some places. Watching the situation in Greece, where mortality rates exploded without even being affected by the 1st wave, it makes it clear that deprived health systems are the elephant in the room.
A hundreds-of-billions $ industry including the largest tech giants has been lying to the public and to people for years by claiming that all the personal data harvested from smartphones, apps and other devices would be 'anonymous'. It's not and never was:

Covid passports - the zombie policy that refuses to die no matter how many stakes get put through its heart. If you are fully vaccinated, knowing another person's vaccination status is irrelevant. If they decline protection, that is their problem not yours. RIP medical privacy
It's important we are all cognisant of the impact of highly emotive and fear based messaging around #COVID19
It can create deep and lasting damage, and is often counter productive
This is especially the case when it comes to children

Head of the Danish Pediatrics Society is now also saying we do not have enough knowledge to recommend Covid vaccination of 12-15 year olds (this source is the major scientific publication for physicians in Denmark).
Where's the outrage? Israeli settlers storm a Palestinian area in Jerusalem chanting "death to Arabs" & calling for ethnic cleansing.
What do Israeli police do? Protect the racists and attack Palestinians.
The equivalent is racists in the US doing this in a black neighbourhood.
