@taiwoyedele Who taught you economics, public payment does not need to be made before it is subsidy. Tax concessions and tax forgone is subsidy. Also this policy is a clear example of price control/market distortion in broad day light. This is a subsidy both in its economic substance and form
Any policy that has the common man at its center, and is holistically designed to relieve the poor, count me in. I will support that, any time, any day.
Subsidy is one of it. Almost every country in the world has one form of subsidy or another to its citizens. In our own case, the govt is dogged on removing every subsidy (electricity is on its way), while hiking taxes. Yet, one Olodo says we can't debate it.
Shey Nigeria belongs to your father? And we are servants of your father?
We pay taxes. We are Nigerians. We will express our opinions. RREE PEOOLE WE ARE.

“I won three titles with Portugal, before me it was ZERO titles. I can only be happy”.
If you understand Hausa, listen to this:
Renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Alkali Zaria has delivered a strong message to Dauda Rarara over his continued defense of the Tinubu administration despite the loss of lives and destruction of property affecting his own people.
According to the cleric, Rarara has become a nuisance to society and has failed to stand with the masses in their time of need.
Sheikh Alkali Zaria also commended @davido for speaking out against injustice and insecurity, urging more influential figures to use their voices in defense of the people.

“If you look at the people we call leaders—go to the Senate, go to the House of Representatives—why should a senator or a member of the House be a praise singer for anyone? Why are those in government not able to face their boss and say, “Oga, this is the truth”? You have people who are supposed to represent the values of society behaving like illiterates. By the time you become a governor, you should be beyond looking for money. Most of Nigeria’s ruling class lack values—they are too cheap. If we truly want to fix this country, we need a principled ruling class. The ruling class needs to have values—values beyond stomach infrastructure.”
