🚨 When you start making money, do this.
🤔 Many people lose control of their finances the moment they start earning more, not because they are reckless, but because too many people suddenly have opinions on how they should spend it.
📞 Family, friends, even random acquaintances will start giving advice like “buy this,” “invest there,” “japa,” or “do this business.”
📍 Within a jiffy, your money is going in ten different directions, and none of them may truly aligned with your vision.
🏹 The fact remains that, you must take charge of your money. Be dogged about your financial decisions. Listen, but don’t follow every suggestion.
🫵 You worked hard for that money, don’t let emotions or external pressure dictate how to use it.
🌱 It is very important that you invest in what you understand. Don’t just chase instant gratification or short term status symbols. You are not in competition with no body!
🎉 When I won $60,000 (N9M) grant from YouWiN 3 program during President Jonathan’s administration in 2014, I wasn’t moved to chase instant status symbols.
📌 No one in my face me I face you compound in Sangotedo, Ajah Lagos believed me. They thought the hollow concrete block industry I was operating wasn’t mine but I was managing it for someone else.
🛻 Shortly after that, I started selling cements yet, I never had a personal sedan car neither was I in a hurry to move into a more comfortable apartment. I instead, expanded my gains into agriculture.
💰 My goal was to erect a solid financial structure in such a way that, I won’t go back to zero. I shunned every external pressure from family, friends and acquaintances on how to use the money.
🪙 In year 2016, I expanded the equity into investing in cryptocurrencies which has been nothing but a massive blessing and in the near future, I will be expanding into real estate BIG TIME!
🍭 “Buy buses for transportation business,“ “build houses in the village for personal and rental purposes,” “relocate abroad and start living the life,” “invest in this and that,” I shunned all these suggestions over the years and I only invest in what I understand till date.
⏰ I set my goals, take control, chase them and drink out my own bottle. I am very stubborn with money. I won’t let you dictate for me what I don’t understand and this has paid off after I learned the hard way before the 2014 YouWiN financial breakthrough.
🪴 Investments in what you understand are how you preserve and multiply your wealth. The goal isn’t just to make money but to make it work for you while preserving and multiplying it.
🍳 Too many opinions about your money can be the fastest route back to being broke.
Learn to say “no” and focus on things you understand. 👊
I am rooting for your success 🌸 🥂

The thing is not that they went there even at odd hours.
I can bet 98% that it's the neighbors and those staying around that either reported that there are guys in the vicinity, doing well BUT THEY DON'T LEAVE TO GO OUT FOR WORK.
Twice I've had to move from where I was staying, the last one, this woman didn't know I hear Yoruba very well, cos I've always spoken English and their shop is just close to the Flat.
I passed about 3times that day, with food I went to buy, then I stood to pick my mum call close to my gate, I legit heard them discussing in their language that, he doesn't go to work o, and see how he lives, only God knows what he does, one said, awon omo Yahoo ni nao,gbo gbo yon lo n se Yahoo, they continued in the discussion that they need to get rid of these Yahoo boys in the vicinity sef. I had to leave to finish discussing with my mum
Before I ended the call I told her what I heard, cos mum still stays in Lagos, I've been in Lagos more than 20years so I understand Yoruba very fluently, I told her everything, she said I should come home that same week, and the next month I moved from there.
I swear e no pass two weeks wey I commot, they came to raid that vicinity, the flat I stayed, everybody was raided, EVERYBODY
I now understand, as long as you're in Nigeria and you are doing well, even if you can prove you're not doing Yahoo, you'll still be called that, you'll be Harrased too, so just make sure that when you have the money to rent an apartment, go and stay where rich people are, yes them fit still raid am, but everybody dey live private life for there.
When I say, no let Nigeria' happen to you, this is exactly what I mean.
So disgusting
Update on my MEXC situation:
I didn’t want to make this public. At first, I genuinely believed it was a random bug or system error.
But after 20 days, more than 3,300,000 USDT of my funds remain frozen by @MEXC_Official, completely inaccessible.
I reached out to support multiple times. Every time, they said it would be “resolved soon.”
Then one day, I received an email saying my account showed “suspicious activity” and “abnormal profit.”
No explanation. No evidence. Just “frozen forever.”
I’ve been in this space long enough to know that transparency is everything.
No one, no trader, no investor, no builder, should ever have to go through this.
I still hope @cecilia_hsueh and the MEXC team will do the right thing and fix this.
Until then, all I can do is keep speaking up.
One day everyone will realize that on chain information is king.
@lookonchain is one of the best on chain report page and it’s arguably one of the best things to happen to traders in this space.
Information is the compass.
