India has 8,477 railway stations, officially. I parsed the government's 122-page PDF and built a scrollytelling D3.js story from it. Some of what's hiding in a spreadsheet of station names:

The official count isn't even right. 24 stations are exact duplicate rows, almost all from one Bihar division whose sheet seems to have been pasted into the national file twice. Real count: ~8,453, not 8,477.
