DAY 10: FRIDAY, JULY 15
Did you know? Student participation & contributions are KEY to the #EuracSummerSchool!
It is thus fitting that we began our last day with two student presentations: one on the current situation in #Tibet, the other on state-building in the #Caucasus📝🔎
In the US the total routine injections by age 2, is 13.
They are:
Hep B, Valexis (DTaP, IPV, Hib), PCV, Valexis dose 2, PCV dose 2, Vaxelis dose 3, PCV dose 3, PCV booster, MMR(V), Hib booster, Hepatitis A #1, DTaP booster, Hepatitis A #2
In Denmark, by age 2 it is 11 doses because they combine their hepatitis boosters with the MMRV doses.
Even with voluntary inoculations, no child in the US has 72 injections.
The average American who is not diabetic, will take 53~ years to reach 72 injections, assuming they get an annual flu shot.
There also is no blanket “European Standard” of inoculation, it varies by country with Denmark being the lowest because they have approved combination doses.
A child in Denmark still gets all the same vaccines that a US child did before Trump’s proposed changes.
They just think you’re too stupid to look.
@fin0cchi0 Serious answer? very probably not:
If he is already stationed in Castel Gandolfo on Saturday evening, he usually remains there for the Sunday midday Angelus.

glad to see you leomaxxing!
@chadwifeyeet Spot on! I think it was @KatiePMcGrady who on an insta Q&A a few weeks ago said something along the lines of: if your kids are happy, then you're good! And any external judgment of you working as a mom is completely irrelevant. I liked that a lot.
Northerly Island is one of the best examples of turning 20th century relics into a modern amenity for the whole city, in just 1 night of bold action by Mayor Daley. Might be one of the most bold things a leader of a city has done

During our Odyssey unit in high school we had to read @MargaretAtwood’s “Siren Song,” which reveals what the sirens sang, and I’ve been haunted by the final lines ever since.
Madame Celeste Amarilla,
We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas
John Prevost, the pope’s older brother, rang from Chicago with a computer problem — because Bob, as the family still calls him, has always been the one who fixes these things.
“John, I’m the pope,” Leo reminded him.
The reply came without a pause: “Oh, sorry pope. My computer is broken.” https://t.co/55sS6rz4vg
