The Gaza Ministry of Education reported that sixth grade student Khaled Al Ashram was injured by direct fire from Israeli occupation forces, who targeted Al Sawafir School west of Gaza City.

A bullet pierced the young child’s hand and lodged in his wrist while he was sitting at his desk holding his pen. The ministry added that targeting children while they are in classrooms constitutes a compounded crime and a blatant assault on the right to life and education.

It called on the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to stop these violations and protect students and schools from Israeli occupation crimes.

According to a weekly report by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), more than 93% of investigations into attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have been closed without indictments.

The report said settler violence has intensified since the beginning of 2026, describing it as “an extension of a coordinated policy between illegal settlers and the Israeli occupation army, under explicit government cover.”

While the world's eyes are on the FIFA World Cup, occupation forces shot and killed a 17-year-old football player.

Fadi Hamdallah al-Naasan was shot on 11 July by occupation forces with an explosive bullet in his thigh during a settler raid on the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. He died on Saturday, 18 July, from his wounds - a day before the World Cup Final.

Fadi represented the Palestinian national football team at youth level.

The mother of pregnant Palestinian detainee Amina Al Tawil said: "The moment I heard her voice, it brought me back to life.
The soldiers asked her, 'Is this your mother?' She said, Yes, and then they immediately cut off the audio.

"I went through immense difficulty to attend the court hearing so I could see my daughter, but the moment I caught a glimpse of her on the screen, they cut the video feed. They then walked in front of the screen so I could not see her.

The judge refused to let me speak with her.
"My daughter is being subjected to attempts to force a miscarriage, and there is no way to save her."
