Today was an emotional day for me. After three years away from the conventional school system, my two little boys made me incredibly proud.

They sat for an external assessment to certify them as memorizers (Huffaz) of the Holy Qur’an, and Alhamdulillah, they both passed! ❤️

My heart is full of gratitude. Please celebrate with me.

May Allah make the Qur’an the light of our hearts, a guide in our lives, and an intercessor for us on the Day of Judgment. Ameen.

As a child growing up in a 3rd world, you trust the US’s intel. You basically have the believe that if a congress man says something, it’s because he or she has been reliably informed.

You grow up and you realize this is not the case, Washington is just like another capital city in the world where bunch of idiots come up with lies that can not be substantiated to score cheap political points.

There is a woman selling zobo right beside my shop,and there are both a secondary school and a primary school close by too.

So,whenever these students are coming back from school under the hot sun,about 5 of them will stop by to buy one bottle of zobo to share among themselves.

My own contribution to society? I simply tell the woman to give each of them their own bottle on my bill. A win-win situation for both the woman and the students. Sometimes,I even buy water for them too.

That is my little contribution to society😂❤️
