I keep going back to that moment when the road fell silent on @sleepagotchi
Usually, wellness games are built purely on accumulation. You do the tasks, you collect the points and you only ever gain. But with the Darklings taking over Robbery Road, you are actually losing supplies. That specific detail caught my attention.
Part of me thinks this is just a dark narrative trick to keep players engaged. But then I remembered the psychology of loss aversion. Losing something we already hold onto hurts twice as much as gaining something new.
Something clicked for me when I realized this is not just a level update. It is a test of emotional stakes for the agent. If the agent knows it can lose its inventory to a robbery, it stops being just a passive helper and starts acting like a guardian.
It makes the whole concept of an agentic wellness companion feel much heavier. You are not just trying to build a better sleep routine anymore. You are trying to protect a territory from an invisible enemy.
If the agent is constantly afraid of losing its stash, does it get smarter and adapt its strategy? Or does the fear of loss make it overly cautious and weak?
